About Akori

Born, and soon orphaned a native of Osirion, Akori quickly found himself a cleric/monk in training at a temple dedicated to Pharaoh Khemet. The temple was ordinary enough for Osirion, dedicated to the research of unlife that would keep Pharaoh ruling for centuries to come.

Akori found his studies hard though, he has even now, a natural aversion to the undead, and his training and tests made him look weak. Akori was on the point of his last test (this one to decide his worth, and the possiblity of his continued studies, failure would mean a slow death at the hands of other novices, a part of their training) when Akori discovered his true path.

A devil from the lowest levels of hell came to him in his small dusty cell, and made a contract. Untold power, and the end of this pathetic training, in exchange for duties untold in far of Absolom. Akori signed readily enough, slitting his own wrist with a finger nail to get the required pool of blood, and the next day he found himself failing the test the devil promised he would pass.

The execution was as prolong and painful as promised, but even as he was pronounced dead by the chief cleric, he could hear the devil chuckling in his mind....His body was animated for a time, by the clerics and used for yet more experiments, eventually to be thought lost by the temple, and abandoned. This is when Akori was allowed to reassert his personality 2 long years later, he found himself stood before the devil, his sanity magically restored, and his pockets filled with gold.

"Now, my side of your bargain is complete. You are free of your Orisian masters. They cannot reclaim you twice dead and lost. Now it is your turn. You will make your way to Absolom, there to become a Pathfinder, and to meet a man..."

That is the start of Akori, his rise, and fall. Now he works for the Celaxian Factions of the Pathfinder organisation, nursing his hatred of his native land, but hiding it well in order to destroy it, and slowly gaining power in order to defeat the devil to which he is enslaved...
