So I wanted to apologize for my lack of activity. I've been working lots of 12 hour days and I haven't had a day off in two weeks. I think I'll be able to get things settled down soon, but for now, please bot me as needed.

Flames might alert other nearby watchtowers. I propose(though Ak'iss wouldn't) that we destroy the watchtowers on the way back after we're sure they're all empty. :)

The little kobold pokes her head out from the stairwell. "Is he dead?"

Upon seeing his corpse she scowls and runs up, jumping on his chest several times in anger, her 25 pound frame not making much of an impact.

After that she and Bitey go to check out the treasury.

As the melee gets underway and the human hits Ak'iss with a sword, the little kobold shrieks!

... and runs away.

Bitey goes ham, however.

Ak'iss will use a withdraw action to run down the stairs and try to hide if possible. Bitey full attacks. I assume he can get flanking with this many people.

The coast mostly clear, Ak'iss and Bitey push quietly up the stairs toward the top floor.

The pair of us will try to sneak past any humans we see and reach the top where I assume the signal should be.

Ak'iss starts gleefully swinging away with her new sword while Bitey does exactly what he's named for.

I'm assuming the dagger is +1. Swinging it with -2 for being the wrong size weapon. Actions: Swift Action: Switch Bitey's Animal Focus to +2 Str. Standard Action: Attack. Bitey Full Attack.

I'm not really sure what's going on. Are we inside the tower? Are there enemies? What does it look like? Are there multiple paths to take/doors?

I don't mind doing theater of the mind for combats, but if we don't use maps, we definitely need very specific description or we'll get this type of slow down every time as players are confused about the situation.

You'll notice that the players who had enemies described to them posted actions.

Bitey gives an almost annoyed sigh.

With the door unlocked and the lock broken, Ak'iss nods to herself and hops back down on Bitey's back, leaving the door closed for now.

The pair slink back to the group and materialize out of the grass nearby.

"Done! Just gotta push the door open! I didn't want you guys to miss out on killing all the humans so I came back first!"

She brandishes her 'sword' menacingly.

The small kobold spends the ride excitedly waving her new sword around like a heroic champion, swishing sword noises coming from her mouth and all. She has the human belt and scabbard strapped on like a sash that holds the weapon over her soldier.

I gotta practice with my new sword for fighting the humans!

When the group arrives at the tower, Ak'iss looks on with wide eyes. Gorthug's plan of chopping the door down would probably work just fine but...

"Humans are really bad at making locks and traps and things. I'll go open it!"

With that, she crouches low on Bitey and they slink off toward the tower.

The tiny kobold wiggles her toes excitedly at the sight of humans and hops off Bitey, making a signal with her arm. The sleek warcat creeps silently toward the humans, crouched low.

Can't let them get away, nope!

Ak'iss waves her arms in an almost silly fashion and drones out something that sounds draconic, but is not. Her spell complete, the grass and trees around the humans reach out and grasp at them.

Dismount and tell Bitey to stealth and attack. Then cast entangle(DC 13), 40' radius with the closest edge just catching the closest humans so the orcs can get in melee range without getting entangled. Then Bitey will double move 45' while stealthing to get as close as possible.

The cat lazily yawns awake and slowly rises before the kobold hops cheerily onto her back.

"I'm ready!"

I can use Stag Focus to get Bitey up to 45' speed. With a little hustling here and there, they should be able to keep up. I think it's funnier anyway if the Ak'iss has to struggle to keep pace.

The little kobold skips foot to foot excitedly as the big orcs discuss their plans. Interjecting weakly, and clearly a bit lost, the kobold speaks up. "If there are humans in those towers, Bitey and I wanna kill 'em! When can we go see?"

Bitey appears to be sleeping on the floor in the corner.

I'm ready to move on if we have all the information we need. Ak'iss isn't much for conversation... well, useful conversation(and I didn't want to derail this discussion too much).

A tiny little green kobold comes skipping and jumping into the room excitedly. Her screeching voice comes out high pitched and fast, her orc accent surprisingly good for a creature so dim. "SwordFodderAk'issTheWitless reporting! Am I late?" Behind her prancing form, a sleek warcat prowls into the room, giving the kobold a tired look that seems to say, what now? It's armored plates move silently on its midnight-black form, an unusual quality in this breed of creature. The kobold appears to have adorned it in leather armor just like her own.

Ak'iss sidles up to Agatha and whispers, though it comes out shrill and not at all quiet. "Psst... Agatha... When do I get my sword?!"

This is Lazyclownfish here. I did end up getting together a concept. Despite the silly premise and my poor stat rolls, I ended up with a far more effective character than I expected. A highly proficient scout and trapfinder, a reasonable off-healer and a fair combat presence through her animal companion, Bitey, Ak'iss would be an asset to any party, though for different reasons than she assumes, I'd guess.

As a note, everything about this concept is silly, including her theme song. She'll serve as comic relief in much the way that a gnome character can in a non-monstrous party, but the fact that she is so serious about herself will leave room for real character development. Her drive for vengeance, as silly as it seems, will also serve to push the action forward.

Thanks for your consideration! I'm totally understanding if this concept is too silly for your vision of this game. She just came out that way and I enjoyed building her either way.

A question for the GM: Do you have animal companions take max HP for the first die or just average?
