Hello everyone

A friend DM asked me to join is Pathfinder campaign, and proposed me to build a drow oracle. The party consists of a rogue, a druid, an eldricht archer and a witch. So DM suggests me to help with a melee character, who can fight and tank, buff/debuff and heal.
Also DM asked me if I could make an oracle well trained in knowledges and in social skills, thanks to very high charisma.
The campaign is played in a new setting created by my DM, standing between low magic to normal.

So, also for rpg purposes, I'm not going to pick Battle mystery. Instead I'm thinking to go for the Ancient Lorekeeper racial archetype (which grants to learn arcane spells at my choice in place of mysteries spells) with the Lore mystery.
Basically, with a couple of revelations and the Noble Scion feat, I'll be able to use my 20 charisma for everything: initiative bonus, armor class and reflexes bonuses instead of dex, knowledge skill bonus instead of int and so on.
Having a +5 AC bonus from Cha at level 1, I'm going to start with studded leather armor and fight equipping a rapier and a buckler.

I was thinking to choose the Branded curse, which grants some fire damage touches attacks with the target also suffering a -2 to saves versus my spells. At 5th level this curse adds my Charisma bonus to Fortitude saves.
An alternative I'd prefer for rpg purposes would be to pick the Friendless curse insted. I'd lost the massive Cha bonus on fortitude (sigh), gaining Cha bonus on Sense Motive and vs mental spells and on 5th level Disguise, Intimidate and Stealth as class skills with a +3 morale bonus.
I'd love playing this curse malus, being unable to use diplomacy with people as a drow (in our settings humans are far more racist and afraid of other races and we will play outdoors)

These should be my attributes after racial adjustments (I was very lucky with dices this time):
Str 16, Dex 13 (11+2), Con 12 (14-2), Int 14, Wis 12, Cha 20 (18+2)

So basically, I would like to ask you some suggestions and tips on these matters:

- Which arcane spells could help me in melee to tank and boost my damage? (Mirror Image for sure)
- Which spells to pick in order to debuff/incapacitate foes exploiting the -2 ST malus given them from my Branded touch?
- How could I take advantage of my drowish darkvision exploiting darkness-like spells and the racial spell-like ability?
- Any good feat for such a build? I was thinking of Combat Casting
- Any good use of the talent Eldritcht Heritage? (consider that I'm gaining other class skills with a drow racial trait and the Noble scion feat)

Any other tip for a melee oracle is appreciated =: )

Thank you very much

Gosh, what a quick answer!
Thank you very much, Toaster, that's exactly the feat I had in mind

Hello everyone
I'm creating a characther for D&D Pathfinder.
Since the plot we discussed will lead me to become a Rashemi Hathran witch, I've decided to go for druid for the first 7 (or maybe 8) levels and then multiclass in the Hathran prestige class (which allows me to advance my druid spellcaster level).
Yes, it's not the best option to multiclass a druid, but I've already played others arcane spellcasters and clerics, so now I want to play a druid, and I think it perfectly fits with the Rashemi background.

Now, is there a Feat that allow me to add my non-druid levels to druid levels I took in order to advance the powers of my animal companion?
My DM told me that he can easily accept a similar feat even if it comes from 3.0 or 3.5 rules, or maybe other D20 sources.

Thank you very much for your time

Thank you very much for your answers =: )

just because a skeleton doesn't have a tongue doesn't mean it can't speak. it is magic, after all. quite a few liches are described a skeletal and they obviously have the ability to cast spells.

if you turn into a human sized undead i don't see why you would lose spellcasting ability if it doesn't specifically take it away(eg druid wild shape)

Actually, I've got the same opinion about this =: )

But since the spell doesn't explain this, my DM asked me to search or ask in some official forum

Actually, be careful, because without a houserule or errata or something, you can't turn into a skeleton anyway, since that's a template.

Why not? The description itself speaks about the skeleton in the example

Hello everybody.

I have a doubt about the spell Undead Anatomy I.
Here's the entire description:

--------------------------------
When you cast this spell, you can assume the form of any Small or Medium corporeal creature of the undead type, which must be vaguely humanoid-shaped (like a ghoul, skeleton, or zombie). You gain a bite attack (1d6 for Medium forms, 1d4 for Small forms), two claw or slam attacks (1d6 for Medium forms, 1d4 for Small forms), and darkvision 60 feet. If the form you assume has any of the following abilities, you gain the listed ability: climb 30 feet, fly 30 feet (average maneuverability), swim 30 feet, low-light vision, and scent.

In this form, you detect as an undead creature (such as with detect undead, but not with magic that reveals your true form, such as true seeing) and are treated as undead for the purposes of channeled energy, cure spells, and inflict spells, but not for other effects that specifically target or react differently to undead (such as searing light).

Small undead: If the form you take is that of a Small undead, you gain a +2 size bonus to your Dexterity and a +1 natural armor bonus.

Medium undead: If the form you take is that of a Medium undead, you gain a +2 size bonus to your Strength and a +2 natural armor bonus.
--------------------------------

If I choose to transform myself in an undead such a Skeleton, I think I cannot cast while in that form because a Skeleton doesn't have a tongue and cannot speak (unless with a magical aid?).
But what about an undead with all the body still whole?
Unfortunately the spell description doesn't explain this, (nor it states if you can use an undead template like a vampire, even if the 2 examples, skeleton and zombies, are templates too...) but I was thinking, especially for a Magus, a 3d spell level with so few buffs like this seems to be useless preventing to cast, especially comparing to spells like Shield, Haste, Mirror Images and so on...

What do you think about all of this?
My DM even asked me if it is correct to transform myself in another undead besides those 3 (Skeleton, ghoul or zombie).
Also...the description says that if the undead has a fly or swim movement, you retain it. So I think I may choose any Undead, because these 3 kind doesn't have such abilities (unless you make a template of something else).

Thank you all for your time
