Female Human Barbarian 1 | hp 14/14 | AC 15 flat-footed 12 touch 13 | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +1 | Init+3, Perception +5

Hey guys, sorry about the hold up.
I'm going to have to bow out of this campaign, seeing as I can't trust myself to not go on a week long hiatus again. There's a few things on my end I need to get in order.
Again, really sorry about the hold up. I hope your ventures continue smoothly.

At her attacker's defeat, Aine whirls around looking for another threat. With no other thugs to be seen, she takes in a deep breath and lets out a low growl, allowing the rage flow out. "Mrgh. Thanks for the help," she grumbles to Lluvia.

She then turns her attention to the grounded Bromsen, giving him a couple hard pats on the back. "Keep it together, man."

I will try to be as active as possible this week, but a show I'm working on just went into tech week... Sorry for any future inconvenience!

Aine grunts with rage and swings around towards thug 2, the one that hit but dealt no damage. Rage boils inside of her, making for one barbarian no thug should mess with. Grabbing the axe with her other hand, she lets loose.

Attack v. Thug 2, Power Attack, Inspire Courage, Rage: 1d20 + 6 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 6 - 1 + 1 = 22

Damage: 1d8 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 3 = 15

Aine is both raging and two-handed wielding her battleaxe.

At Bromsen’s call, Aine snarls and shouts over her shoulder, “I’m a little busy at the moment!”

Turning her attention back to the thugs, she smirks. ”Just us then, ey boys?”

Attack v. Thug 3, Power Attack, Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 1 + 1 = 5

Aine glares at the woman yelling. She would bow for no one. "Make me," she shouted, squaring her shoulders.

Drawing her battleaxe, Aine readied for one of the sap-wielding thugs to attack.

As Aine turns, she notices the man holding the scroll first, then the circle. As it seems that Lluvia has that one covered, Aine considers drawing her shortbow before hearing Relverest's shout. This will probably be not good. Placing a hand on the hilt of her battleaxe instead, she swung an arm over her eyes, bracing herself for what was coming next.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Vancaskerkin's words confuse her, but Aine thinks she picked up his meaning. He wants proof? I can show my strength by throwing him. This is not a thought out of rage, mind, but a thought out of... simplicity. She forgets the thought, however, at the mention of competition. She can compete. However, the one that was playing seems to want to work as a team. Either could be fun.

Aine gives a nod and a gruff, "Vancasterskin" before turning and walking into the crowd. She will wait to see what unfolds from the group. Meanwhile, she will have a bit of fun. She heads towards a corner to return to watching the crowd. Before reaching her corner, however, she intervenes between a particularly thirsty looking man and a "succubi"'s rear. Aine slaps his hand, "No," before moving on nonchalantly.

While the crowds of the Gold Goblin churn, Aine finds herself a nice bit of wall. She leans against it, arms crossed, half watching the chest curiously, and half watching for Bromsen. She can tell he is struggling to keep his cool in this crowd, not that she particularly blames him. As the lights change, she shifts her attention to the show. It is very grand and regal and much of it is unnecessary. Aine can see Vancaskerkin spared no expense to make this event what it is, and she wonders why.

Once the show has finished, Aine turns her attention to Bromsen. She is still caught in thought as he springs off, and it takes her a moment to realize he told her to follow him. ”Don’t tell me what to do,” she mutters to herself as she makes her way through the crowd. It is easy work for her to shove through and it seems that word spreads from person to person so that they all simply make way for her. "Perfect,” she says to herself, grinning.

Aine reaches the group around Vancaskerkin just in time to hear the end of Relverest’s playing. She is not one to care about frivolous luxuries such as music, but she finds herself enjoying the playing just the same. ”I enjoy this,” she states earnestly if not somewhat tactlessly to the player. She then turns her attention to Vancaskerkin. “Hello. I am said good friend, Aine. I am looking for work as well. If you are only looking to hire those that can fill multiple positions, I could be one of the Gold Goblin’s, I believe, “temptresses”? However, I know I would be a rather talented bouncer.” She notes the others around the owner of the Gold Goblin. Quite a crowd.

Bromsen’s constant looking up turns her attention up towards the cage above. Recalling the performance Vancaskerkin gave, she quirks an eyebrow upward. That could cause quite a lot of trouble, not the good kind either.

Hi! I'm alive.. been an interesting couple days. I'll have a post up ASAP

Standing among the crowd before the Gold Goblin, Aine feels neither anxious nor nervous, rather excitement surges through her. She is not quite sure why, for she is not there to win big, per say, but to find work. At Bromsen’s words, she scoffs and a smirk lights her face. “Perhaps you do not want trouble, my friend, but you should not speak on my behalf.” Aine holds her gold piece for admittance loosely, flipping it between knuckles absentmindedly. She does not care much for gold, but she has plenty put away for her style of living. She is not worried, however her monk friend seems to be.
Aine notes Bromsen’s breathing and pauses behind him. She keeps watch over the rest of the crowd intently until he comes back under control. She may enjoy trouble, but keeping the rage at bay was his choice and she would honor that. Once Bromsen is back to himself, she follows him through the crowd, bumping anyone that steps into her path. ”Pardon you.” “Excuse you.” Once they are in, Aine scans the room lazily. Her eyes come to rest on the large chest in the middle of the room, flanked by another two handsome, ahem, chests. ”Mmmm. Many temptations indeed.

Aine, are you a Shoanti, or just a super tough Varisian who hung out with them?... Relverest loves to meet people and hear their stories, so he and Shay and Aine could have met at various spots in Riddleport, or right in front of the Gold Goblin.

Aine is a Shoanti, yes! Though she does not spend much time with her people... Meeting in front of the Gold Goblin could work for Aine, for she is looking for work!(/is working there? Not really sure when in the story line this is starting... whoo!)

Sorry about all the hold up! I've been out of town the last couple days, and a few of us are recently on break from IRL responsibilities, or so it seems. I know I should be able to get into a nice routine by next week, tops.

YES IT WOULD BE NICE TO HEAR A BIT MORE ABOUT THE AS-YET-UNINTRODUCED HALF, WOULDN'T IT?

Hi, yes, hello! I would be part of that half...

I'm very new to all things pbp, and pathfinder really, so please do be gentle with me... I am quite nervous! Maybe one of you lovely folks could find a connection between my character and yours?
Aine Background:
Aine Baldevia is one tough cookie. Since her beginning, she was fighting for survival. Her parents never had much, thus every little bit that she could scrounge up could mean the difference between life and death. She became very good at standing on her own from a very young age; fighting her own battles, taking care of herself. It wasn’t that her parents weren’t in the picture, but they had to focus on their own survival. She understood.
It was apparent from a young age how dog-eat-dog the world really was. For this reason, Aine mostly struck off on her own, rarely seeking company around a Shadde-Quah fire. She made decisions and choices for herself. Once her mind was made up, that was that.

Aine’s life has not been particularly exciting. She has spent most of it thus far exploring the Calphiaks and surviving. Once or twice she chased rumor of a dragon, but that never yielded any results. Mainly she travels from place to place on a whim.

One day she was sitting atop a mountain perch looking over the town of Riddleport, watching its patrons live their lives. A certain curiosity hit her. Most of her people are distrustful of the grimy town, but for Aine, it held a sense mystery. She had heard her people speaking ill of the town since she could remember, but she didn’t know a thing about it first hand. Aine had heard rumors of a booming gambling hall by the name of the Goblin’s Gold. This title only peaked her curiosity more; she herself had run into many goblins in her ventures through the mountains. That was when she settled it. She would see about this town, and this gambling hall. Aine was not particularly interested in losing all her coins, so she would find work in the hall.
