Background:
Agripos was born the child of a father who made his living off of cons and schemes. With little in the way of formal education, Agripos himself preferred athletic pursuits. Though he lacked a quick tongue, he served ably as an "enforcer" for a group of mischievous youths. Perhaps Agripos would have headed down paths similar to his father. That is, until his father conned the wrong man, a powerful and vile aristocrat. When the guard showed Agripos his father's body, it was clear that his father had been tortured and suffered greatly before his demise. Agripos tried to tell the guard who had done it, but they dared not challenge such a powerful citizen.

It was Agripos's mother who insisted that he let go of his desires for vengeance and change the course of his life through military service. And Agripos indeed took the first tentative steps to a more disciplined life. True change, though, came when he found a path in faith, through the worship of Pallas Athena. The goddess of wisdom and war became a model by which Agripos might improve himself, even if he could never hope to reach her divine perfection.

Now a trustworthy warrior, Agripos was hired for an exotic mission--teleportation to distant lands! He hoped the journey would be the jolt he needed to move further away from his past and to grow by exploring and overcoming whatever challenges they might face.
