I assume I should roll up new stats so here goes:

Ah well, at least I got in some good damage before I went. I'm open to suggestions as far as a backup class goes. I saw a neat monk archetype earlier today, but maybe someone who can actually wear armour would fare better. Summoner seems fun, I've got some experience there. Although I've never played a ranger, it seems like something I'd be into.

Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

I'm in favour of starting out with stealth, in case Agrimar can get in some sneak attack bonus damage, and to potentially give us an extra surprise round. And if we don't pass the stealth check, then normal combat it is.

Climbing out of the crate, Agrimar sits down at the table and accepts the offered food and drink. "Thank you. I've not planned too far in the future. Nearly all hope of escape was beaten out of me months ago. I must say, though, your talk of shining beacons and adventure was inspiring. For years now, I have been wandering, searching for a purpose, but just trying to survive. Now that I am free, helping others against the likes of those slavers seems to me a cause worth fighting for."

Just in case I do need to make a new link for this to work, here is the link to the spreadsheet, set to "can edit".

The sheet is made! Here is the link, and I have a tab for each character and a tab for the group. I wasn't sure if the "everyone" tab should just be things that we haven't divvied up, so it's empty for now.

"After my father was killed in a mudslide, I wandered through the wilderness for years. I got on a boat across the sea, but after a few days I was attacked in my sleep by those slavers. Ever since, I have been their captive. Thank you, for freeing us."

"I'm Agrimar." He was still sore from the bare, rocky ground where they had been forced to sleep for the past days. He barely knew these people, but they at least seemed to be trustworthy.

After being shaken awake, Agrimar sees the elf beside him gesture towards the fire, where a young man was telling a story to the guards. Suddenly, he heard a voice in his head and almost jumped.

Agrimar was marched from shop to shop with the others. It was humiliating, being treated like a commodity. However, the mental pro/con list he was making on being sold vs. not being sold was interrupted by a young man inquiring about their price. Agrimar wasn't exactly sure why, but something about him seemed different from the other potential buyers.

One peculiar thing that Agrimar had noticed in his time as a slave: after what bits of sleep you manage, you always seem to be as tired and sore as when you lay down the night before. Today was no different. Agrimar had been lying awake for maybe ten minutes, after pulling out the small keepsake of feathers he kept hidden in his boot and silently praying and paying his respects to his father, before lying down and closing his eyes again, trying to snatch a few more minutes of rest. They were headed someplace called "Mulberry's End". Wherever it was, Agrimar reasoned that it couldn't be much worse than the past year, especially the last few days. As hard as the mining was, Agrimar was strong, and he could focus his mind on other things while doing it. But the inactivity was torture for him. For his whole life, he had never spent this long in confinement, unable to move. A short while later, he hears the slaver shout for everyone to wake up. However, there is another, almost subconscious voice telling him to wake up. Shrugging it off as his desire not to be beaten by the guards, Agrimar stretches out the stiffness of lying on the bare, rocky ground. Around him, the other slaves have woken up. Almost all of them had been slaves for longer than him, and in their eyes, there was no life. He has always had a hard time reading people, but even he could tell the hope of release had been beaten out of them a long time ago. Chained beside him, Agrimar sees another slave. She looks like an elf, but has two strange antennae. She seemed to be a mute, but they usually weren't allowed to talk anyway.
On that same note, how big should the secrets be? I realized that the ones I used were pretty small.
Bigger Secret: In order to pay for accommodations on Tathran, Agrimar borrowed money from a mob, with no intention of paying it back. Unfortunately for him, they have other ideas, and have not forgotten.
I've finished the character.
Backstory:
Agrimar was taken in at a very early age by a childless Tengu named Dilin in a fairly remote part of Feicui Dao, and lived with him up until the age of approximately 20, training in the ways of the blade. When there was a mudslide on the mountain they lived on, Dilin got Agrimar safely into the cellar, scarificing himself. Agrimar salvaged the few possessions that survived the mudslide and set out to find a new home. For seven years, he managed to survive on the mountain, until he stumbled across an elven settlement. He stayed there for about a year, before stowing away on a ship to the Tathran Federation. There, he took one of the few jobs he could get with his limited Common: a Talium miner. If it fits anyone else's backstory, he could have met one of the other PC's on Tathran. There, he earned his nickname "The Snake" for his quick reflexes and wiry frame. Reason to be on the mission:
Agrimar is coming on the crystal transportation mission to get off Tathran, and the 2000 gold piece reward is more than what he makes in 3 years. Though he would never openly say it, he also feels guilty that he was unable to rescue Dilin, and wants to be able to protect people. Since he has heard Karthen-Dathalan tensions have been running high, he suspects there may be trouble. Description:
Agrimar is about 5'7", but inherited a hunched posture from his Tengu upbringing, with a lean frame. He is bald, tan, and has black eyes. He has a somewhat gravelly voice, and Common is not his first language.
Agrimar is suspicious of most people, having only ever gotten close to one other person, Dilin, and spent the majority of his life out of contact with the rest of the world. Once he knows he can trust someone, though, the bond is very strong. He is outwardly quite serious, due to the majority of his early years involving training with blades, with no socialization. He claims to prefer solitude to being in the company of others, and he does find a certain comfort away from crowds. Inwardly, though, being completely on his own reminds him of the brutal years after the death of his adopted father. Secrets: 1) As mentioned in his reason for joining the mission, Agrimar feels a need to protect those around him.
2) Every night, Agrimar goes outside and meditates with a small keepsake made of black feathers, honouring Dilin's sacrifice. 3) Agrimar pretends to prefer solitude, as mentioned in the description, but is only reminded when he is totally alone of his years spent in the wilderness.
Been looking for a mid-low level game for a while. Human Brawler (Snakebite Striker). I'll work on the backstory and character sheet, and should have a proper application tomorrow.
