Mason gives a wry smile and with a snap of his fingers changes into a small fox. With a couple yaps he sits back on his hind legs, dark fur bristling. Trying to seem as intimidating as the creature can muster before he changes back.

”Could maybe get the dogs’ attention and one or two of their handlers. I… uh… am not really that handy in a fight in this form, so, hopefully I could draw them to you guys. If things go well, it’ll soften up their watch and maybe keep them unaware inside.”

mechanically he can now shift into a tiny fox as per the pest form spell. This is an expansion to his Change Shape ability. Single action to change to or from any of his 3 forms and lasts indefinitely.

"If we plan correctly, we could set up the support team to lock down the doors after we enter to keep them contained. Any stragglers that manage to get out the doors could be detained by the Muck Ruckers. At least that's the idea in my head. Anyone else have a plan they'd like to share?"

Mason will also set Smuggling as one of his leads. If possible, he would also add Percen Droan as his second lead. (there is a bit of overlap, so if you only allow one, i full understand, just let me know as it may impact rolls and some abilities. adding the rules for it in spoiler below if you want to review

Pursue a Lead:
You name one detail you've identified that you think is part of a larger mystery, then spend 1 minute examining it. The detail is typically either obvious or something you've already discovered using Recall Knowledge, Sense Motive, Gather Information, or a similar action. After the minute passes, the GM either confirms there's a larger mystery or tells you there's nothing more to learn (the detail is inconsequential or you know all the information already). If there is in fact a larger mystery at play, you can't Pursue a Lead again for 10 minutes, but you can choose to open an investigation. To do so, define the question at the heart of the mystery, such as “Where has the priceless work of art that was supposed to hang here been taken?” or “Who or what killed this priest?” Work with your GM to refine the question if need be. You can also give your investigation a name to better keep track of it (such as “The Case of the Cheated Goblin” or “The Skinsaw Murders”).

Investigation Bonus Whenever you attempt a Perception check or skill check to attempt to get closer to answering the question at the heart of an active investigation, you gain a +1 circumstance bonus to the check. The exact checks this applies to depend on the actions you use to investigate and are determined by the GM, but checks to investigate are typically Perception checks or skill checks that use Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma.

Active Investigations You can maintain two active investigations at a time. If you Pursue another Lead after that, the case must be different from any of your current investigations (as far as you are aware), and you give up on a current investigation of your choice. Once you've given up pursuit of an investigation, you can't Pursue a Lead into it again until after the next time you make your daily preparations. Solving an Investigation If you answer the question at the heart of your investigation, the GM tells you that you've done so. You don't lose the bonus or other benefits until you choose to close the investigation by Pursuing a Lead again or voluntarily Dismissing it. If what you discover points to an even larger mystery, you can work with the GM to adapt the question and name of the investigation to the new information.

Mason gives a small bow, and motions for the others to head out. Once away from the place he pulls the notepad back out and shows the others his circled message. ”Puddles seems like the place to be I suppose. We could also drop back past the Orvington place. Just give em a heads up that one of their boys owes money and that may or may not be the cause of their vandalism. Bit sketchy, but if it gets the problem to stop, I think all parties may be alright with it.”

Mason nods along as Roscoe gives the introductions and lays out the situation. He pulls out a notepad and marks down the given information. Muckruckers, Percen Droan, Ziraya, strange globe in office. He also scribbles a side note, subject also mentioned the Orvington Moneychangers and that "His boy Uthrar owes me. Up to a hundred gold with interest.” She seemed to be implying there may be a connection here between this establishment and theirs, without directly confession such involvement. Might be worth inquiring further at Orvington.

He pauses for a moment as if considering if he should continue.
