Adyr is a native of Rahadoom and as would be expected has embraced the key tenents of the Laws Of Man. Knowing that the 'gods' are little more than natural beings, he is disgusted when human grovel and supplicate themselves in devotion to those that are merely magical charlatans (albeit highly powerful ones).

It was with this attitude that Adyr entered the ranks of the Pure Legion six years ago. Initially, he saw the purging of 'devotees' as a necessary and just cause for the very preservation of the Law of Man and the Rahadoomi way of life. It wasn't until he was transferred to a remote post along the borders of Ragadoom and Thuvia that he saw how brutal some members of the Legion could be- particularly to those who only had a passing curiousity about religion. It was just over a year ago that the treatment of a young novice to Saranrae cracked the veneer of his militant Atheism and moved him to be more tolerant of those who foolishly believe- as well as assisting the girl in escaping the prison to which she had been sent. Knowing he could not return home, Adyr traveled to Absolom where he joined up with the Pathfinder Society.
