My Library Use total is 10. So I was not successful.
If that's the case of me needing to get 20 better, I'm incapable of doing this.
Library Use 10: 1d100 - 20 ⇒ (66) - 20 = 46
You're all so caught up in seeing this man as the killer to even think it all through. If he is the killer, which does seem likely, then why did he kill the Commander? Was he just some hired thug, given some money in exchange for a corpse? Or does this go further? I think I'll try and ask around, see if I can't find any information on this guy. Maybe he can tell us who hired him and why they wanted the Commander dead. If nothing else though, maybe this press conference will help to draw him out.
Standing from his seat, Dr. Roman heads off to see what he can find on the man. With a name and a description, surely someone would have something. But turning up nothing could prove to be just as informative.
Spot Hidden 40: 1d100 ⇒ 20
Noticing the group, Dr. Roman decides to hold back and listen instead of approaching them directly. Listening for any relevant information. No sense clumping everyone together. Only if called upon for assistance will he join the group as is, choosing to wait until it's time to move on, and following from a short distance.
Not so fast now. You'll just look more suspicious if you're running out of here. Don't think about it and we'll be fine.
Ah yes, I remember now.
After searching the room for signs out of the ordinary (further than what is expected), the doctor sums the effort up to bunches of paper and a room laid to waste. With the rest of the crew ready to leave, he awaits their descent before making his.
Climb: 1d100 ⇒ 8

Climb: 1d100 + 30 ⇒ (75) + 30 = 105
Not entirely certain how to format this for rolling. I don't think that's supposed to happen, but I don't roll nearly enough to have this system entirely figured out. I don't think 105 is supposed to happen.
If the introductions are finished, shall we proceed with this affair? There's much to do, and who knows how long this whole thing will take?
Will post tomorrow as soon as I can. Either before or after update. Feel free to bot me if I don't post before then.
Honestly, what is it with people calling me Joe? I have a name, and that is most certainly not it. You really shouldn't be so surprised. It makes you seem as if you are not ready, and one should never be unprepared, especially when dealing with such circumstances. You may call me Dr. Roman for the time being.
Sighing as he watches the reporter rush away so quickly, he goes back to his drink. Finishing the round, he pays for it and leaves. Checking he's got everything he needs to bring, Adrian heads to the ship, preparing for the journey ahead, onward into the unknown.
So you're telling me that the person who hired him is the one suspected of killing him? Well stranger things have certainly happened. I'll look into it. His cause of death was drowning, whether that was before or after he wound up in the watery depths is another story.
Fast Talk: 1d100 ⇒ 3
We can talk here. Better than drawing attention by moving around. What have you learned?
You expect me to have access to the body so soon, and do an autopsy now? I could try, but it seems unlikely. If we're finished here, I suppose I have work to do.
I'd say it's probably connected with the recent murder then. People don't just go all Midnight Marauder on some guy on a boat for no reason. So am I supposed to do now?
What exactly do you mean by fixing this problem? And what the hell is so damn important in Antarctica to start killing people for it? Is there some kind of hidden, untapped resource there?
What took my interest is that strange things are happening around here, and none of it makes a damn bit of sense. Then I get called out to the boat, where more things don't make sense. Then I hear about this trip to a place where even more things aren't making sense. But it all seems connected. Which means it all makes sense when you put it together. Are you understanding me?
Sounds like a plan. Watch yourself, never know who's gonna be next, Chris. Adrian approaches the front desk, waiting for an attendant.
If you don't know who I am, then there is no need for me to reveal that. Joe will be fine for now, Chris. The less people that know of my actual involvement, the better, and no one will be able to get any relevant information from you about me. Who I am is of no particular concern. What is of concern is figuring out what the big picture is, and the Captain's demise is only one piece of a much larger puzzle. Working together, I'm sure we can put this puzzle back in the box.
I am here as a member of this latest expedition. I was enlisted last night, though this little adventure continues to become more and more puzzling at every turn. There's something very wrong happening around here, and it doesn't seem to be localized to just here. How would you like a new source?
Intending to possibly use this reporter as a feed for his data, he thinks about the impact that this death will have on the expedition. He is now more determined than before to figure out this strange, ever-growing list of occurrences.
Do you know why anyone would have wanted to murder the late Captain? What can you tell me about him?
Dr. Roman thinks a little bit to himself while finding somewhere to sit down with the journalist. He was the Medical Examiner, so he should have been notified immediately to come inspect the body, so why wasn't he? Something was definitely going on surrounding this expedition, and he was more and more certain it wasn't something natural. He'd have to be careful. He doubted there was anyone he could trust entirely, expedition or no. He would continue according to plan, but he'd need to be more cautious until he could figure out what was going on.
Bumped off? He's dead? What happened to him?
Dr. Roman looked at the man quizzically, then let go of him, still watching him. I think the two of us should go somewhere more private to continue this conversation.
Scanning the crowd for anyone he may have met last night, Dr. Roman begins to become rather annoyed with all the mindless, imperceptible noise around him. He looks for the first reporter who looks like they have any idea of what the hell is going on and grabs them, pulling them aside and pushing them into a wall. Why are all of these people here? I was not told there would be any reporters rummaging around. I want answers. NOW!
I'm still not seeing anywhere for me to post again. There doesn't seem to have been a response to my last one.
I have nothing for you dogs. My business is none of your concern. Now remove yourselves from my path. I have work to do.
Wading through the crowd, Dr. Roman quickly pushes through to the hotel lobby, trying to find someone else from the expedition, avoiding anyone that even looks like a reporter.
I head directly to the hotel. Everything else has been taken care of, and the next thing on the list is this expedition.
I suppose I could join you. Not a fan of the cold, but it's better than the heat.
What exactly do you expect to be finding on this *expedition*? From what I understand, there isn't much there, living *or* dead.
Perhaps the young miss Phoebe would be able to collaborate with Dr. Roman in discerning what the problem with the boy is?
Give me some space and I'll see what I can do
Medicine: 1d100 + 45 ⇒ (95) + 45 = 140
Leaving his office for the evening, Adrian locks up gets in his car. Remembering the recent files, he goes back to retrieve the odd ones, bringing them for possible comparison with the boy. He drives to the docks. Parking his car, Adrian quickly boards the ship and begins asking around.
Is there a Dr. Greene aboard this vessel? I was told it was urgent.
Well, my specialty is working with the dead. Sounds like the boy is still breathing. But maybe I'll be able to find some answers of my own. Which vessel should I be looking for?

Sitting in your private office your receptionist buzzes you on the intercom, "Dr. Roman, I have received a call from a Dr. Greene. He was referred to you by the city examiners office, do wish to come take the call or shall I tell him you are busy?"
"Yes, go ahead and patch him through, thank you.
Character is finished I believe. What should I do now, in terms of gameplay and discussion? Anything I should read?
