About Aakif Shuo
Shuo grew up an orphan in the rough neighbourhoods of the capital city of Lanming in the Tien nation of Quain. At an early age he was discovered fighting off a small group of boys by an aging monk of the famed Dragon Temple of Quain. So impressed was this Master of the Dragon Temple with Shou's raw talent and determination that he took Aakif under his wing and sent him to many of the various martial arts schools around Quain. At the age of 16 Shuo's aged and venerable master and adopted father died a peaceful death with Shuo by his side. He promised his mentor on his death bead that he would travel to the Dragon Temple and seek admittance to train there to honor the path his mentor help set before him.
After being accepted into the famed Dragon Temple of Quain he spent ten years of diligent martial training and countless hours of seeking enlightenment through the teachings of Irori, Shuo left the Dragon Temple at the age of 26 to travel the world and do his small part to make it a better place one good deed at a time.
His travels soon brought him into contact with a traveling merchant from Orison who was a member of the Pathfinders Society named Hobart. Having traveled many months together and receiving training as an apprentice merchant they became good friends. They crossed the crown of the world from Quain in Tien Xia to Avistan together, having a few adventures along the way and making some important merchant contacts here and there. He listened very intently to what this Pathfinder had to say about many things, like being an honest merchant, a member of the Pathfinder's Society, and the Silver Crusade faction of which he belongs to. The more he watched how this member of that faction did what he could to improve the life of others by following the goals of his faction, Shuo came to believed that by becoming a member of this society and faction that it would aid him to follow through on his vow to do his part to make the world a better place. Upon their arrival in Absalom Hobart was more than pleaded to presented Aakif to the head Pathfinder at the Grand Lodge to join the Pathfinders Society and becoming a confirmed field agent receiving his very own personally engraved Wayfinder.
