I find it difficult to believe that weapon size is interfering with believability when you're perfectly willing to accept some 10 ton dragon that can breathe fire can be fought by some 200 to 250 lb. warrior with a steel longsword toe to toe.
Especially when you consider that such a creature in reality couldn't even support its own body weight, much less fly.

raw strength to the point where the act of walking under such a load would likely snap the fighters legs like twigs. Such a load, even if it DIDNT turn the fighter to paste, would make it so that in 90% of terrain the fighters legs would sink into the landscape.

If the square-cube law is already trashed sufficiently to allow Colossal living humanoids, what harm will a mobile suit or two add?

A fantasy would should have some kind of internal logic.

Cannons, fireworks, and rockets are simple. Any kind of gun is a lot more complicated, and if you're getting into fancy handguns it's much worse. It makes no sense for the world to have guns without cannons.

AM MAKE NO SENSE ME BREAK SQUARE-CUBE LAW.

Magic allows such things to be altered and bypassed, such as allowing a huge creature to fly, or a dead thing to walk, but where there is no magic effect, things are going to behave the same.

Background:
Golmar grew up the 4th of 7 children on a farm. He was large for his age, and was a great help to his family. He even enjoyed doing farm work. As he grew older, he became aware of his parents' struggles, as they worried about being able to feed the family over the winter while paying the local lord's tithes.

He came to despise these faceless lords that demanded a tenth of the crop, giving them nothing in return so far as he could see. Then he started noticing other things. Men in mail wielding swords, who would stay with them for an evening on their way to some grand tourney, or towards whomever needed a body for their army. His heart yearned for a life of adventure and, secretly, he yearned to not live year to year in fear of starvation under the thumb of a petty lord.

He bid his parents and siblings farewell when he came of age and traveled to the nearby city, where his size and muscle quickly found him a job as hired muscle. Three years later he is a competent sellsword, recently having completed a job and looking for work.

Personality:
Golmar is easy-going, tending to go with the flow as long as he doesn't feel too strongly against whatever is proposed. He knows rules as a whole protect the common people, but feels that rulers abuse their power, so has a general antipathy towards authority. Is proud of his physical strength, and tends to charge into battle as opposed to softening up enemies with a ranged weapon.

Appearance:
Golmar has light brown hair and brilliant green eyes. He stands a little over 6 feet and weighs over 200 lbs. He has a pleasant personality, but tends to intimidate people due to his sheer size.
