The Exchange

I'm trying to build a Crane-Pummeling Brawler/monk, and meet some problems.

The first is as the title, does Pummeling Style count as Full-attack? So I can Fight Defensively when I use Pummeling Style?

Another question is:
Can I use Fighting Defensively when I charge?

If i can't use Fighting Defensively while use Pummeling style, i may need to reconsider my build :(

hmmm...

if my new class has no familiar? Is it allowed?

The retraining rules are explicit to a point. In this circumstance, a familiar is a class feature. When you retrain to a different class, you swap out class features.

I'm not on board with the thought that if you retrain from a witch to a class that has a familiar, then its dead. My reasoning behind it is that a witch's familiar isn't quite the same as a sorcerer/magus/wizard. If they were mechanically identical, then I would agree.

However, if you're not interested in having a familiar ever again, then you are able to retrain as much as you wish while still at 1st level.

Ok, thanks for you explanation.

Here's the whole thing that I built a rogue character and finished one scenario. Then I joined another scenario which already have a level 2 rogue. So I retrain my character to a controller and healer since they are short of them.

Then I lost my familiar in this scenario. If I need to pay 500gp for it, I won't be able to afford my msw weapon/armor for my rogue. So at first I decided to keep being a caster. But when I check my mates in next game, they're now lack of scout and it's better that I can be back as a rogue.

That's why I'm here asking about this questions. I wish I could have enough money for next game. And I agree with that if I want to be a cast with a familiar again, I should pay for it.
Btw, I'm a wizzard with a familiar as a spirit. That's the thing make it complex.

You use the wizard rules if you're a wizard, but the time doesn't matter since time between scenarios is undefined. You need to pay for it before you get it back, but don't need to do that right away if you can't afford it. Either way, the death should be recorded on your chronicle.

the ability says:

Quote:
Arcane Bond (Ex): When a spirit whisperer chooses an arcane bond, he must choose the familiar arcane bond, and the familiar gains the spirit animal ability of his selected spirit (see spirit link, below). The spirit whisperer does not need a spellbook, but instead stores and prepares his spell by communing with the familiar as the witch's familiar class feature. This ability alters arcane bond and replaces the spellbooks class feature.

so it won't change the essence of an "Arcane Bond" right? But it says that the familiar works as a spirit, shouldn't it follow the spirit rule?

And WHAT happened to your first familiar?

If you want to be a responsible companion, please invest in a Familiar satchel to prevent this sort of thing from happening again.

well, totally my fault.

I asked her to invest some super small place, then "BOOM"!

it's my first caster in pfs game, i should learn. >_<

Just start to play PFS, and meet some problems today. Hope I can get it solved here from you experienced guys here~

Ok, here's my questions:

I'm a level 1 Spirit Whisperer(Wizzard)

1. How should I get back my familiar after it's dead? Should I follow the wizzard's "Arcane Bond" rule (wait 7 days and pay 200gp), or Witch's Familiar rule (wait 24h and pay 500gp)?

2.Do I need to pay for the new familiar immediately at the end of the scenario? Could i just leave it dead to next scenario? Or retrain my character with a dead familiar to another class? (since i'm free to do it at my first level)

3. if i don't have enough golds in this scenario to get back my familiar, the state would be record on my sheet?
