"The Dragon's Master" is a short delve (5 encounters) for a group of of 5th-6th level characters, compatible with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

"Skeebo led a hard life. Small even by kobold standards, he was constantly mocked by the others in his clan and tormented by their leader: a black dragon named Pyraxis. Not strong enough to be useful as a soldier and not smart enough to be a mage, he was forced to do all the menial tasks that the rest of the Ashen Kobolds didn't feel like doing. And if he resisted or refused to do what he was told, he risked getting eaten by Pyraxis.

"One day, while wandering about the Ashen Swamp, Skeebo made an astonishing discovery: an artifact of unprecedented power that was seemingly discarded in the muck. After donning the artifact, everything changed; he no longer was he the puny kobold that everyone picked on... It was the chance he was looking for to show the others what he was capable of, and show the other kobolds, the humans in the nearby village of Haven, and especially that big, dumb dragon who the 'supreme kobold' really was."

"As you slowly open your eyes the world seems out of focus. The room dips and sways sharply as you raise yourself up off the ground, your arms shaking under the weight of your own body. As the blur twists and bends in reaction to your ear-splitting headache, you sense the taste of dried blood and dirt on your lips.

The chamber comes in to better focus as you stagger to your feet, and you frantically spin around to see your possessions scattered about you, discarded as if they had no meaning. You are bathed in a light from above that burns brighter than the sun, causing you great pain as you look towards it.

You struggle to clear your mind and try to remember how you came to be here, but that's just the problem: your mind is already completely clear, blank even, and you have no memory of what brought you to this strange place.

As you look past the circle of light in which you stand and into the darkness that surrounds you, as the ringing in your ear subsides, one thing is certain.

"Cavern of the Damned" is an introductory adventure developed for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. It is designed for a party of five 1st level characters, taking them up to 2nd or 3rd level upon completion.

Map Pack M2: The Ring of Stones PDF

For hundreds of years the stones stood undisturbed, encircling a clearing in the middle of a dense forest. Eight identical slabs of solid rock, towering twenty feet in to the air, anchored in to the earth in such a way that not even the strongest man could so much as budge them.

Nobody knows for sure why they are there, or even who created the circle in the first place, but many believe it's best that they remain undisturbed. Some things are best left unknown.

In recent times the world around these nondescript stones began to change. Evil began to dwell within the forest as it turned dark and foreboding. The wild became a dangerous place, claiming anyone who dared disturb it, and those that have entered it forest were never heard from again.

And, at the center of it all, stands the ring.

Who knows what secrets remain dormant, awaiting to be unlocked by those that seek to harness their power?

The crypt lay undisturbed for centuries. Not only was the approach wrought with peril, but the entrance was sealed off from the rest of the world by a heavy stone slab. Its mysteries lay hidden in the dark...

Only recently has a bold group of adventurers come to the crypt, pushing aside the massive stone to reveal the entrance below. Who knows what wonders—and what dangers—lie in the depths of the crypt?
