Stinky the Wolverine

Coming, Kala! Oooh! Big, fresh meat! These'll taste so much better than the dry stuff in that last room.
| Thundering Dragonkiller |
Thundering Dragonkiller runs into the room and down the hallway. Without much room to stand on the floor, he gracefully leaps up onto the table. "A little hot sand can't hurt me!" he boasts as he tries to deliver a cross to the gorilla's face.
________
Acrobatics (Jump onto Table, Move Speed Bonus): 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 4 = 18
Unarmed Strike vs Red: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 201d6 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
I know life isn't aligned to a grid, but these askew tables make for some obnoxious maps! GM, TD had 10ft of movement left when he was directly north of Watergreen. I assumed 10ft of movement + acrobatics would be enough to get onto it, but no worries if not.
| GM Watery Soup |
Watergreen makes a deep cut into the gorilla.
A field of burning sand appears across half the room.
Kala and Stinky move into the room.
TD punches the hurt gorilla.
Dalgur, I noticed your token moved but you didn't post - are you just moving?
Jaakko, my apologies for not being clear. You can go again, as you're first up in Round 2.

Blue Scribe swings at Stinky!
Ha! Missed!
"Stinky, attack!"
Okay, fine. But the other ones have more meat on them. Stinky gives it the ol' college try with fangs and claws.

Jaakko slip past table and swings at gorilla scratching its cheek.
+1 flail: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 vs. Orange. If that table counts as difficult terrain I'll take AoO. If not then 5-foot step
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
| Thundering Dragonkiller |
Thundering Dragonkiller's focus falters when scribes fall from the ceiling to join the fray. What would have otherwise been a powerful combination of blows, is slightly off point. "What in the world?"

Flurry of Blows then 5ft into the hot sand into a flank with Jaakko on orange. Resist Fire 7, so no damage from the sand. If the first blow somehow drops Red, the second blow will be from the flank on Orange.

Jaakko moves up (not difficult terrain, it's just a corner and swings, causing Orange to yelp.

Isn't Stinky's AC 21?
It is 21 when he's fatigued. I forgot to update his status bar. I assume 12 rounds have passed since the first fight, so he wouldn't be fatigued anymore. His normal AC is 18, but is 22 now because of Mage Armor. Blue's swipe did hit him; I've now taken the 2hp he lost off his total.
Watergreen
|
Are these gorillas evil? If so, Watergreen's AC is +2 higher like it says in brackets on her stat bar, and that attack misses. But only if it's evil. Not sure if its neutral like a normal gorilla or an evil gorilla.
Watergreen slashes her claws at the orange gorilla.

Diceroller really just wants to know what the creature's AC is and will do everything in it's power to find out! If the first blow KO's the gorilla, TD will forgo the second attack and move to the space with the smiley face, which will provoke an AoO from the scribe.

Kala steps up and whacks the scribe with her warhammer (+10 nonlethal, +12 total). Stinky bites the scribe (-8 hp) and the scribe falls unconscious.

The yelling from the cabinet in the corner resumes as the sounds of battle fade.
"Kadarnik? Yannis? What's going on?"
Salvius Delronge
|
Salvius exhales as the tension fades from his face and he relaxes once more. He tears off pieces of his cloak to cover the mouths of the scribes and tie them securely, making sure they're not in danger of hitting their head or anything.
Salvius then approaches the gorillas and with a prayer says-"She Who Guides the Wind and the Waves, let this poor beasts' soul reach your domain, for their nature is kind at its roots, but the corruption of Anghazan has reached them. As the warriors of the Jambala Jaeg once did, let these primates be rid of the sway of the mad demon."-as he stabs the hearts of each gorilla with the obsidian blade, doing his best not to create a mess.
He approaches the last scribe and asks-"Are you ok? Your friends have been affected by the mists, but they will recover in due time. Please, explain what happened to help us help you."
Watergreen
|
Watergreen goes up to the cabinet. "It's safe to come out now. We're the Pathfinders. Would you come out? We'll escort you out of the building."
| GM Watery Soup |
Saldak is a blubbery scribe, his obesity the result of too many hours spent at a desk and his fondness for sweet cream pies. His jowls quaver and shake with terror as he recounts his tale. Saldak tells the story of how the offices suddenly flooded with a strange mist early this morning,
and that tendrils of it seemed to pour down Kadarnik’s and Yannis’ throats moments before they went stark mad and beat Milgen to a pulp. Nigel was taking stock of the pieces in storage in the East Exhibit storage room at the time.
Saldak is fairly certain the Tik Taan idols are responsible for the museum’s current predicament, claiming “I smelled something wrong with those hideous monkey-faced things as soon as Lugizar brought them out of his pack. I’ve a nose for trouble, I do! No one listens!"
There's no need to escort him out. As soon as he catches his breath from all the screaming, he flees the premises all by himself.
DC 15 Linguistics:
In the cabinet where Saldak was hiding are three scrolls, a scroll of cure moderate wounds, a scroll of false life, and a scroll of dispel magic.

"Huh. Well, at least we know which things are causing this. Let's go round 'em up." Kala is ready to move on. She doesn't bother to stop Stinky from gnawing on the gorillas. She can tell how much he's enjoying himself.
| Thundering Dragonkiller |
Once the scribes are masked, Thundering Dragonkiller carries the scribes over his shoulders and lays them next to the other unconscious man. On his way back into the gorilla room, he stops the fat man from running away.
"Have you gone mad?!" Pulling a cloth from his bag, he wraps it around the man's face (forcing it, if he has to), before patting him on the back to send him on his way. I'm such a caring person!
He nods his head at Kala's suggestion, ready for another slog. As he waits, he does a series of dynamic stretches. To anyone staring, he throws them a weird look and says, "I've got to keep loose so I don't lose!"

Sorry GM, missed your call for revised actions! Thank you for moving on without me (genuinely, no sarcasm)! CLW wand for anyone who wants it. "These artifacts I found here may be really old and this tag has Lugizar Trantos's name on it. Wasn't he the one who sold findings to the museum? And he fell ill while in Mwangi? Someone who knows languages better should take a look of that writing." Jaakko says

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

CL check DC 8: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Temp HP: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
He then takes the time to study the beaten bark scroll, extremely interested in it. Reading it and carefully touching it all over, he tries to identify what it's for.
(Could Salvius use Spellcraft or the Read Magic cantrip to read it, despite not knowing the ancient language? The latter will burn my Arcane Bond, but the mention of it being bark is just so Salvius, so I'll ask just in case. Here's an Know: Arcane just in case:)
| GM Watery Soup |
Salvius mystically reaches out with his deep, arcane understanding of wood. He doesn't know what the writing says, but he feels like the wood teaches him about what it means.
The wood cloth speaks slowly and deliberately, as trees often do. It says that the magic inscribed on it would allow the reader to dispel the mist from a person.
Salvius realizes that nobody is actually infected with the mists, so the inscription isn't terribly important.
Salvius Delronge
|
Salvius seems so excited, like a child in an amusement park, when he hears the bark speak back to him. He tries talking back as he mutters-"Oh dear, is this your anima speaking back to me? What is your story? Tell me!"-without really expecting a response.
Still, he listens attentively as he grabs the scroll with one hand, his wand in the other-"One person left, the owner of this museum, this Nigel. Let us hope he has not been consumed by the mists. Whatever we find next, please make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the Tik'Taan idols - they might be hidden in plain sight in a cabinet, stuck to a primate...who knows"-he says as he approaches Dalgur.
He pulls out the jagged dagger and says-"Could you use this, Dalgur? I'm of the mind the Tik'Taan and their minions will resist normal attacks, and this dagger might be the key we need."-he says getting ready to move on to the next room at the end of the corridor.

Botting Dalgur.
A long hallway leads to this grand hall, wherein the Blakros Museum shows off its finest collections. Mock vines cling to the walls and hang from the fifty-foot-high domed ceiling, and huts of grass are strewn about the open area. At the center of this sprawling chamber, a miniature replica of a traditional Mwangi ziggurat rises out of the mist to a height of nearly twenty feet. At the top of the ziggurat, a rail-thin elven gentleman is strapped to an altar, his bare chest painted with strange sigils and monkey paw-shaped blots of paint.
The Tik Taan hold court here, served by a band of savage primates (escaped from all over Absalom) snarling, spitting, and cavorting madly about the ziggurat. Nearly 20 apes, baboons, and other monkeys revel here, but a terrifying howl shatters the revelry after the door opens and the primates scatter into the mists, making way for their champion, a large ape.
