Thrune is a dick:
Proclamation the First: All slayers of city pests (hereby defined as doves, mice, and ravens) who present said pests to the dottari shall be rewarded with a bounty of 1 copper piece.

Proclamation the Second: All places of public business must display in a position of prominence within the first room accessible from the building's primary entrance a portrait of Her Infernal Majestrix Queen Abrogail II. Said portrait must measure no less 11" x 17".

Proclamation the Third: Anyone who captures, alive and unharmed, a feral dog of a weight exceeding 50 pounds is to be rewarded with a payment of 2 silver pieces upon transfer of the dog to the dottari. Such noble creatures should find homes worthy of their kind!

Proclamation the Fourth: The right to wear embroidered clothing in public is hereafter proscribed to anyone other than agents of House Thrune or the Holy Church of Asmodeus. Exceptions can be purchased at the city's discretion.

Proclamation the Fifth: Grain is life! Should grain be spilled in public, it must be gathered, cleaned, and repackaged within the hour. Any person who allows grain to go ungathered after a spillage shall be fined 1 copper piece per grain.

Proclamation the Sixth: The imbibing of night tea brings a dangerous imbalance to the slumbering mind. Between the hours of sunset and sunrise, the taking of tea is prohibited.

Proclamation the Seventh: The odor and flavor of mint is an abomination to the refined palate. Be not the cretin! Mint use in candies, drinks, and all manner of confections is hereby proscribed.

Notable NPC's:

Rexus Victocora - A poor shmuck you saved from getting beaten to death in an alley. It seems he could have useful connections for you if you wanna change stuff in Kintargo.

Unnamed thug - The guy that has now seen the party twice and renounced his position in the group. Wonder if we'll ever see him again? I need a name for him.

Beard-and-cloak guy - Alexis had a run in with him at the protest, and saw his fiery sword.

Trazil - A ratfolk alchemist that made a damn good fondue. Or Chowder. Or whatever the hell it was.

??????? - Who killed that fat guy?

Harris Richmondson - Owner of Gold & Silver pawn- I mean curio.

Scrap - The most well known and generally liked bum in Kintargo. You all know him, and he's the most knowledgeable bloke when it comes to people and current events you've ever met. If you can decode his funny way of speaking, he's the best source for information around.

House rules and rulings compendium

Ability Skill Checks:
- Various tasks have different amounts of variability. It makes little sense that an Arm wrestling contest could vary as much as twenty points when the average Orc is only four points stronger than the average human. However, due to various experiences, a variance that high could be justified for a wisdom check.
Variance
Physical Abilities- Physical abilities are Low Variance by default, using the Ability score (not modifier) plus a D6.
(Ex. Open Door Str check DC 16. Doc has a STR of 8, so he can't open the door. Grumpy has a STR of 18, so he can open it with relative ease. Happy has a STR of 12, so he must roll 4 or better on the d6.)
Mental Abilities - Knowing or realizing things depends on a number of factors, therefore mental checks are Medium to high variance by default, using Ability Score plus a D10.
(I like to use these in Roleplay a lot, generally setting 15 as the Wisdom DC for a normal good decision, and 10 or less as time to be really stupid. Ex, Dopey gets bored on watch and rolls a D10+ his 7Wis. Landing a 2, he decides to play a prank on Grumpy. Grumpy rolls a D10+ his 8Wis to avoid being angry. He rolls a 1 and promptly knocks Dopey the fluff out. Doc is asleep, but the Player Rolls anyway, 1d10+16. He rolls a 9, totaling 25, so the GM allows him to happen to wake up in time to witness the occurrence and react)

Knowledge in combat:
Knowledge checks are free actions, and may be made out of the initiative order, however, you may only speak on your turn for the most part. This keeps posts flowing so that I can respond to the knowledge check before you make your turn and can communicate or act on it.

Taking ten on Knowledge:

Taking ten on knowledge may only be done with material on the subject, i.e. a book or reliable source. Taking twenty may be done in a library or similar with adequate time to research.

Leveling Up:

Favored Class bonus - In addition to the usual options, the favored class bonus may be spent to reroll the hit die. The second roll MUST be taken even if it is worse than the first.

Signature checks:

These skill checks are knowledge or experience related directly to your character's backstory. At any point they equal the highest bonus a character can have on a mental skill check (Level + highest mental ability mod + 3). (ex: None of the dwarves have great Knowledge Arcana, but Doc asks the GM for a signature check on sleeping curses because of personal experience. ex2: Grumpy has terrible survival, but searching the mines he works in, the GM allows a signature check instead because of familiarity.)

Combat Knowledge:
IN BETA TEST
When Knowledge checks fail, an experienced fighter should still be able to ascertain some things about an assailant such as AC and BAB, as well as martial feats she sees. Calculated as a skill check with your BAB substituted for ranks and WIS mod. This is a class skill for all martial classes. The Combat expertise feat adds 2 to this check.
