@Daniel: Sorry this is such an ongoing problem...but I can't read google docs at work. Roll20 was fine for me, as was dropbox. But sadly I won't be able to post very often if we rely on google docs.
Svetlana nods in agreement to the arrangement with the kobolds. She cared little what happened to the Idol, but Ulryk's point about selling it was a good one. Money can buy items that might help with our endeavors. The priestess was surprised the shaman was so close by, given that this time he did not choose to involve himself in the negotiations. But ever-flexible, she just smiled and trotted after the group as they approached the shaman's lair.
Svetlana will stay in the back. FYI...I have few spells left, but all my healing surges. So healing will happen but she'll have little else to contribute to the battle
Initiative, if needed 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damen Medvyed
Terribly sorry I haven't been able to post until now!
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
As the party approached the shaman's lair, Damen caught Ulryk's eye and in a low voice said, "I'll hang back as rear guard. We're not exactly in friendly territory here."
As they walked he stretched his arms, already tired from the battle against the mites and the long day. His eyes darted this way and that, watching for any signs of ambush.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Brigid auf Whitehelm
If we're starting from where we are on the map, Brigid will double-move until she is within sight of the shaman. If she can, she'll move as close as she can in order to reduce the chance of him running for cover (ideally between the water pool and the shaman). If the initiative doesn't start until we get within eyeshot of the kobold, Brigid will snap off two shots quickly.
Ranged, pbs, rapid shot, deadly aim: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 1 - 2 - 1 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 8
Ranged, pbs, rapid shot, deadly aim: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 1 - 2 - 1 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 8
Ulryk Lebeda
These were Kobolds, not mites and for whatever reason - in Ulryk's mind that made all the difference between being pests that needed to be exterminated and sentinent races that deserved a chance at parlay or the very least surrender.
He turned to Kent and Svetlana, asking that they send forth their illuminating light as he stepped forward with his own weapon drawn.
"prestur sem þú hefur verið steypt af stóli. Ættbálkurinn þarf ekki lengur né vill þig innan þess. Að berjast við okkur er heimskulegt leitast að mun leiða í aðeins þinn endir. Gefast upp fyrir okkur núna og þú munt lifa og kannski finna hamingju annars staðar." He growled out in draconic. Surprising and murdering the shaman wasn't what the noble warrior had in mind.
Is the chamber large enough to use Pole-arms without restriction or will I need to stick with my flail for the moment?
Kent Unsaid
Sorry
Kent casts Glitterdust at the shadows (radius 10 ft so a very big area) DC 17 will save or become blind even if they make the save they are still outlined with Glitterdust giving -40 penalty on Stealth checks.

Kent I corrected your 10-ft.-radius spread, as per the rules on the map so it covers the correct area.
Round One
The party arrange themselves to confront the kobold shaman. Svetlana casts light on Ulryk's polearm as he advances to the entry of the creatures lair, demanding the monsters surrender. Kent, taking matters into his own hands, cast a spell which fills the area in front of the party with glittering mottes of light that fall gently like snow.
Also taking a more direct approach, Brigid sends 2 arrows flying at the shadowy figure off to one side. Finally, Damen keeps back with Svetlana; protecting the rear of the formation.
Would Ulryk, Brigid and Kent please make will saves. This is a fear effect and spell, so add whatever pluses you might have against such

As all these different actions occur a number of outcomes become clear. The shadowy figure that was spotted in the cave was just that, a shadow. As the glitterdust spreads into the area, the shadow melts away right before your eyes. At the same time an unreasoning fear grips (Going by initiative 1d3 ⇒ 2)Brigid and she move as fast as she can away from the shaman's lair, leaving the others staring in confusion as she almost bowls them over.
Brigid you are frightened. You can make another roll this turn to become shaken
Round Two
Kent
Brigid - Make will save to become shaken
Svetlana
Ulryk
Damen
Shaman
Kent Unsaid
Good, there is no way we could beat a shadow no matter what the CR says. None of us have a magic weapon so we couldn't even hurt it
Kent moves the dancing lights into the cave and moves back into position.
Damen Medvyed
Brigid has a magic bow, I believe, although I can't recall if it actually has an attack/damage modifier.
Speaking of that, if Brigid tried to push past me in the last round I'd probably have tried to grab her. Sitting at such a narrow choke point this might have been possible?
Svetlana Orlovsky
Svetlana will drop until just before the creature's next action
Damen Medvyed
Grapple: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
As Brigid fled past him, Damen reached out to grab her, to get some answers, but caught off-guard his grab missed her. His words trailed off half-uttered, "H- what...?"
Brigid auf Whitehelm
She saw the shadowed movement and fired without hesitation. She was anxious to finish this. The arrows went into the darkness, and she listened for the unmistakable sound of them striking flesh. Instead, something welled up out of the darkness and gripped its icy claw around her heart and squeezed.
Fear assaulted her. Fear was something that she had believed she had left behind on the icy rocks of Whitehelm. So many things had she left there with it; joy, exuberance, hope. Love. Why feel fear if you have none of those to lose?
But this new attack swiped away all reason, and everything else that she brought with her to this new land. Her pain, sorrow, grief and anguish, all replaced by the one thing she had believed she could feel no longer. Fear.
Don't run. Run and you're dead. If you run, you die. Face your death. All the lessons from the line of Bardagamaður taught to Yfirmaður and carried down to Stjórnandi faded from her mind.
Brigid broke and ran.

Will do Kent!
Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
The spell goes off, but does not seem to do anything to the scaley little creature. It is covered by the glittery gold flakes, but the kobold seems otherwise unaffected.
Brigid make a Will save, then everyone else may attack!
On a side note, here at home we are going to see -52C weather in the next few days!! Brrrr
Svetlana Orlovsky
I cast Endure Elements on Daniel...oh wait, -52C is too cold for that to help.....
Ulryk Lebeda
Unable to position himself and attack at the moment, Ulryk did the next best thing. Rushing into the cavern, he spun the Ranseur within his grasp and rushed to the cavern wall alongside the narrow opening that the wicked kobold Shaman hid. Flattening his back to the wall, he held his weapon at the ready. Outside the shaman's view for the moment, he waited for the creature to emerge or for more of his allies to get into position.
While it seemed that the Shaman would see him run into the cavern room, it did not seem likely that he would know exactly where he went and Ulryk went under the perhaps misguided conception that spells required line of sight.
Damen Medvyed
I assume Brigid moved beyond me into the caves, but on the map she's shown stopped next to me. I'm going to assume she moved onward since I didn't come close to her CMD and she'd have had at least a few more squares to hit a double-move. If I'm wrong, I'll change things.
His chance at catching Brigid gone, Damen was briefly torn between following her, remaining where he was, or moving forward to help Ulryk and Kent. The hesitation only lasted a moment: the shaman was the greatest threat right now.
He skirted past Svetlana with a worried smile dimly lit by the flickers from the magical lights, and then he was deeper into the shaman's home. Ulryk stood against one wall, and not far beyond him there was the shaman. "Here we go," he said, more for himself than anyone else, and as he hustled forward he added to the shaman, "This would all be a lot easier if you just surrendered!"
Too far to attack this round, but at least I'm in position!
Kent Unsaid
Damen's will save is Will +3 (+4 vs. Fey, +5 vs. Fear). So if it's that fear spell again and then he has a +5 even if the shaman is a fey because they are both trait bonus and don't stack. Still he has the best will save so far. +5

Ok.looks like the new forums have settled down for the moment and I hope you can all get access again! I know I was knocked out for a day or so, but it all seems good now.
Damen's will save: 1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 5 = 26
Damen feels a chill course through his body, but quickly shakes it off.
Svetlana is up
Svetlana Orlovsky
Seeing her unwounded allies surround the shaman, Svetlana's thoughts turn to Brigid. The priestess promptly turns and trots out of the cave looking for the fleeing archer.
Svetlana will move to where she is on the map, which is 20 feet of move. She will continue a double move to 60 feet to try to find and catch up to Brigid

Just a note for you Kent, enlarge person will ... changes the creature's size category to the next larger one.
As the kobold shaman is small it will just make him medium, or normal human size.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Will take effect just before your turn next round.
Damen Medvyed
Thanks for that great roll, Daniel! Although to clarify, my bonus versus fear is +2, making a total will save vs. fear +5, not +8.
