As he sees Talon start forward, Drovya speaks up. Wait, there are magical auras in this room. We should determine what they are before we turn our backs on them.
"Alright, if you insist."
Hanethes peers into the tunnel. "Where are these magical auras, Droyva? I'll make sure they aren't traps. Since this area seems to be quite full of them."
Are ther auras in the room or the tunnel? If in the room, Rohini will spend some time studying them.
"So, Glitterdust and swords all around? It's usually the best way to investigate auras."
Hanethes was able to spot 2 slanted rocks that could function as proximity triggers for something. Though not magistier, he could almost feel power coming from them.
Rohini's reads are more specific. 2 Conjuration (Creation) spells were joined by two Illusion (Glamer) auras. The latter two were moving, circling above.
"Be wary. Some type of proximity spell. I can feel my skin tingling close to the perimeter."
"Can you tell what it is? Like is it an alarm type of spell, or a rocks fall everyone dies type of spell?"
"No. Knowledge of magic is not my forte. I just know it's there."
He looks doubtful to Talon, then he looks back into the passageway.
"Let me try something here." He reaches into his thieves' tools bag and pulls out an odd-looking object with two mirrors facing outward.
"I might be able to fool the proximity field."
Before he enters the field, he looks back towards the others.
"I am not sure if it is an actual spell or a magical trap. So any of you magic types want to stop me, now is a good time to tell me."
If no one stops him, he attempts to disable it as a magical trap.
"If it looks like a trap to you, it probably is one. I would only worry because two are moving, which might mean-"
Arasmes cuts off, his detection spell revealing the presence of moving auras to him at the same time as Rohini and Drovya
Is this something Rohini would interpret as invisible foes? In any event, she pinpoint the locations for the others and prepares for battle.
Same question for Drovya.
On the assumption that the auras are enemies lying in wait, Rohini will issue a warning in Elven, which is spoken by much of the party, and she'll try to discreetly alert the others in common in quiet tones.
Hanethes peers into the chamber beyond the tunnel. His trap sense is well alerted, but he is sure his companions sense something else. He draws his dueling blade as he moves towards the first trap area.
Drovya pulls a silvered arrow out of his quiver and passes it to Petrova while whispering, Can you see the auras? I think it's more Cacodaemons, in Elven.
Petrova shakes her head. "I never learned how to see magical emanations."
"Oh good, more flying things." Talon sighs and draws his bow.
Rohini will draw her crossbow and give guidance to Petrova and Talon, and anyone else who looks ready to engage in combat, time permitting. She'll also prepare to cast weapon against evil, assuming these are actually Cacos.
Drovya shrugs and pulls out his own bow, fitting the arrow to the string.
"I SAID Glitterdust and swords," grumbles Kanthuun. He readies Color Spray.
Drovya shrugs and raises an eyebrow. Next time, just cast the spell.
But, he muses, it is a bit tricky to hit them with swords when they're forty feet up.
"I also don't have a sword either. Or glitterdust."
"Nor I. We'll have to improvise."
With no way to see invisible creatures, Petrova readies her borrowed now and knocks a silver arrow, then waits.
As the group prepared, Hanethes made his way forward towards the trap. The creatures reacted, with the foe further away divebombing towards the furthest proximity trap. A bank of fog erupted outwards, but didn't quite reach the rogue as he bent down to disable the closer device.
This is a Stinking Cloud spell.
Arasmes moved out to stand adjacent to Hanethes, where he waited with his detection spell still running.
She readies a bow shot for the first enemy to be made visible.
Attack: insufficient strength, bow's bonus, guidance
Talon also readies to fire at a visible enemy.
Kanthuun curses. "Away from the cloud--it's poison!" He takes out a scroll and begins reading it.
Two cacodaemons hurled out of the stinking cloud to attack Hanethes and Arasmes, after which point they were completely visible.
Petrova's arrow went wide, but Talon's manages to hit its target. Following this, Kanthuun cast his spell.
Drovya draws back his bow and takes a shot at the cacodaemon hit by Talon's arrow.
Hanethes swiftly feints with his dueling blade against the cacodaemon, then swings the blade back from an unexpected direction.

Drovya's arrow caused a significant amount of damage and lodged itself into fiendish flesh.
The creature didn't have long, either, as Hanethes finished it off with a one-two combo, leaving it to drop and begin melting away.
Rohini casts weapons against evil to ensure that we quickly take down the last Caco. That should obviate the need to use any more silver arrows. Everyone's weapon ignores the Caco's DR, as long as we stay within 20 feet of each other.
The blessed weapons begin to emit a candle-like glow after Rohini's blessing.
Arasmes' head shifted sideways, as if reacting to a sudden sound from inside the fog, but otherwise the inquisitor didn't attack anything, allowing his attacker to continue circling. It would be dead soon enough.
Kanthuun utters a phrase that sounds like whooshing and whistling, gazing at the cloud.
Petrova moves up to attack the caca-daemon.

Talon drops his bow and moves to attack the daemon with Stark as well.
Drovya yawns and blows on the nails of his right hand before buffing them against the fabric of his overtunic.
