I am more than ok to have a week or even two of waiting for Xichikite to come back.

I will personally appreciate the break so I can focus on finishing other games too :)

As for the Gameday 3, I received this message today:
"Only games that are reported by Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 @ 12:00 PM CST US [GMT-6] will qualify for prize support due to time constraints and Mike's availability this month."

We are coming up to 2 weeks since we've heard from Xichikite. How much longer should we wait before we continue?

I'll get it set up tonight to start. I just sent him another message to see if he's ready to resume play or not. If not, would you prefer I find another player to fill in, or would you prefer I bot a Pregen?

I think it is better for everybody to find a 4th player.
Boting as GM sucks in PbP, you have already enough to decide and write :P

I know a couple of people at my LGS that are interested in play by post. If we have lost Xichikite, I could ask one of them if they would like to join.

I vote for a new player as well. Unless you can just pulled someone off of the other table and move them over here. :)

I can't pull anyone from the other table, they are a group of 4 as well, and 3 of the 4 were insistent on playing together.

Jiankuo, go ahead and invite one of your local folks to play game 3 and 4. Will they be lost if they haven't done 1 or 2 yet? I did message X this morning and haven't heard back from him, but if he posts in the next day or so and we add Jian's friend, then you will become a table of 5.

Jian, I would like to hope your friend is level 3 or 4, so you guys can play up if possible. You guys are too fierce for the tier 1-2, seriously. You're obliterating it.

I'll get it set up tonight. I'm focusing on PBP tonight :)

Ah! Playing the higher tier would be cool for the extra challenge :)

I'd like to have you in the higher tier. I have run Tier 3-4 with a VTT group and I think you guys will smash right through it.

Whether or not I would be comfortable playing up would depend on how many players were involved and what sort of classes they were playing. I'd rather steamroll through the scenario than worry about a TPK, frankly.

My friend should be joining the game shortly. He's level 3, but I believe our APL is still only 2.75.

I could try a sling only run to up the challenge :D

With a 2.75 I think you can opt to play up.

These are my spells prepared for today:
1st - hide from undead (DC 14) , longstrider (DC ) , magic weapon (DC 14)
0th - detect magic , light , read magic (DC )

The actual language in the Guide says you should round to the nearest whole number, so with a 2.75, you will be playing Tier 3-4.

Ah, my mistake, I forgot this was a 1-7 scenario and not a 1-5.

He did actually just message me back that he was not going to be able to continue any games. It is sad, but it happens. I'm glad Jiankuo was able to bring another player in.

FYI: I have two more cons to attend over the next two months (PAX East in March and Star Wars Celebration in April) so I will have sparse posting ability then.

Alex is at a stag weekend at the moment and should start posting in earnest soon.

I fly to Boston Thursday evening for a full day at PAX East on Friday, Saturday, and most of Sunday. I may be able to post Sunday night, but no guarantees. If not, I will be able to post Monday.

I'm still planning on flying to Boston tonight, but I'm off work today due to a snow storm we're supposed to be having right now, so I can post a bit more regularly for the next 6-7 hours or so.

Sorry folks! My job had never allowed me to post on Paizo (had it blocked for "shopping" category) but I had previously been able to post on my iPad using the WiFi. They cut that off now. I can't use the WiFi anymore.
I am changing jobs, so my last day at this one is 4/14, but then I will be away at Star Wars Celebration from 4/15 to 4/21, so my posting until then will be spotty, but I will *try* really hard to keep up.

I have a lot of play abiity on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, but then I will be gone until Apr. 20. Star Wars Celebration! After that I start a new job where I sould have better posting ability from work.

I've just completed the 2nd sanctioned portion of Rise of the Runelords and would like to assign the credit to Jiankuo once we have finished the Devil We Know Part III.

However...

This would make him level 5.

If you guys are fine with this, I'll go ahead and assign the chronicle, otherwise I'll hold fire until we've completed Part IV.

You will push the group a lot, but I have nothing against as our APL will remain close to 3, thus we will keep playing in the same Tier, if I properly understand.

Sebastian will level up to three after this scenario, I don't see any major issues with your leveling up, Jiankuo.

Although if we could pick up the pace a bit now, that would be very good.

Hi All,

I'm looking to attend Paizocon UK this year, and I'd like to take Jiankuo with me. I am concerned that this may clash with Part IV and would like to drop Jiankuo from the game once this scenario is complete.

However, I'd still like to participate in part IV. Would you guys be okay if a played a different character for the last part?

I have a 5th level wizard, a 2nd level Aasimar that I can rebuild into anything, or I could play a 1st level character.

Any of those would be fine by me.

We can probably play it down without problems ;)

Besides, I have Hide from undead spell right now. Whom do you think will benefit the most from it in the what seems the final battle? Or should I save it for healing purposes?

Hey, folks, I'm really sorry for the delays I've been causing. First I got a job that didn't allow me to get on Paizo, and then I got another job that allows it, but I was OMG So busy the first few weeks. I think things have calmed down now and I don't have any more weekend trips away planned until the end of June or July.

I *should* be able to check 2-3 times a day now, at least 2 each day while at work. Again, I am really sorry.

Can you put dayjob rolls in here if you didn't put them in the Gameplay thread?

I'll probably need a couple of days to level up Sebastian.
