Alana Wayworth
Alana smiles warmly and returns Celestra's kiss, gentle as a caress. "I do admit the I am a bit frightened, being away from solid land, but I would not dream of abandoning you mu love, nor the rest of the group. I have found myself in far more dangerous predicaments and have managed through, as I am sure I will for this, too. It is a silly thing, really, rather like a child being afraid of the dark, I suppose."
Alana allows her eyes to relax, and go slightly out of focus for a moment as she calls upon the arcane to give her eyes the ability to see an magics that are abound in the waters below. (She casts Detect Magic)
Celestra Zomesco
Celestra smiles ands looks on Alana with admiration. "You are so brave to face your fears straight on, my love! You also show concern for everybody else, even over your own fears. You truly are a magnificent being!" Celestra responds with a reassuring embrace. Within, she says a silent prayer.
"My dear Cayden Cailean, please protect us on this voyage and see that we return safely! May it be productive, but otherwise safe and uneventful!"
Heavy Harry
Uh..back?
"I'd rather throw myself in the ocean tied to an anchor than have another visit to Turtleback Ferry. If I go back there, someone is going to get hurt."
"Storm coming, but it rains on us all the time anyway. If you are ready with that spell Miss Zomesco I can get down into the wreck...or we can, depending on how many you can gift"

"Ahhh see there you go Karlan, a tranquil day on the water and you are even relaxing and feeding the fish, how is this not better than Turtleback eh?" Harry adds encouragingly.
Celestra Zomesco
""Storm coming, but it rains on us all the time anyway. If you are ready with that spell Miss Zomesco I can get down into the wreck...or we can, depending on how many you can gift"
"I am ready if you are, Harry. Is this the spot we need to dive, or are you just taking precautions agains the storm?"
When Harry gives the word, she will cast Water Breathing and touch each of the company in turn to bestow the gift on each of them. Duration is 14 hours divided up by the number of people touched.
""Oh, well thank you, my love."
"Think nothing of it, my dear. It is most easy to sing my praises of you, when it is all true!"
When Celestra sees Karlan sick of the side of the boat, she goes up to the paladin and genuinely tries to be helpful and comforting. "Did you have too much to drink, my friend? These boats sure can be a little bouncy on the waves. Combining cheap liquor with a stormy sea can be a really awful combination. Is there anything I can do for you."
Heavy Harry
"We've the coin for a raising of the dead, best we could hope for is a cheap animation. Would stop the nausea though" Harry offers helpfully.
When the party is ready, Harry whispers to Thumper and then goes over the side.
Thumper, sits down on deck, occasionally looking towards the fisherman who brought the party out. You also notice that Thumper appears to have grown considerably in the last while. What did Harry feed him that day in town?...
Marek Ironblood
After takings a couple of minutes rearranging his possessions in his backpack, Marek offers:
Well, if you would not mind including me in your spell, miss Zomesco, I'd like to accompany you. Maybe I can provide a good viewpoint if the depths get too dark.
He will put his backpack inside of his waterproof bag so as to not risk jeopardizing his gear.

Sry, no signs of magic
The water is so cold it nearly makes your hearts stop - and really, you think you miss one or two heartbeats until it pounds again...
Surface of the lake functions like a light-sucking curtain and after you have reached a depth of about two metres nearly every bit of light is gone and total darkness surrounds you - hardly can you make out the silhouettes of the others and momentarily you realize that you will need a light source not to lose contact to each other.
Swim Check DC 12
Fort Save DC 10
Ailetha Aurcalam
Seeing the darkness envelope the group, Ailetha quickly speaks some arcane words causing a light to suddenly appear on her shoulder and lighting the area around the party.
Swim: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Although she has no problem swimming, the chill of the water is almost unbearable.
Celestra Zomesco
Celestra is not a strong swimmer and looks down from the boat. "Do you think, Harry is going to need our help? I hope he comes and gets us if he is in dire need. I may be a sailor, but I've never had the strength to be a good swimmer."
Alana Wayworth
Alana is chilled to the bone and shivering as she takes the fisherman's hand to help pull herself aboard the ship. Her teeth chatter so she makes no attempt to answer the man's rhetorical question, but simply nods her head a bit in response.
HP 45/50
Celestra Zomesco
Celestra wraps Alana in a blanket, holds her, and then rubs her hands all over her as she tries to generate some warmth and stop her from shivering.
"That was very brave of you, Alana. I did not realize you were such a good swimmer. Were you able to see anything down there?"
Marek Ironblood
Swim check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Fortitude save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Also remember Marek has darkvision up to 60 ft.

Marek shares the swimming problems of Alana and Karlan and unable to dive deeper has to return to the surface too (after taking 5 pts of damage).
Now Harry and Ailetha are the only ones remaining in the water...(does that lead to a change of plan or are you going deeper?)
The fisher grins when he hears Celestra but spares her any comments...
Ailetha Aurcalam
I also have light cast.
Ailetha looks to Harry as the rest of the group return to the surface.
Should we continue? I am a bit chilled, but can keep going for a few. Or we can return, rest, and hopefully get some better weather. Also, I think that Celestra can ask her deity to protect us from the cold which would undoubtedly be beneficial.
Heavy Harry
"If I go back and get on that boat, I will put that fisherman overboard and sail that thing all the way to Riddleport and be done with this whole affair, being a Pirate pays better and has a more pleasant lifestyle besides. If we can't even manage a swim in a lake these days, even aided by magic, then what hope do we have?"
Harry is pushing forwards.
Marek Ironblood
Marek nods silently and wet, and tries again, not letting a first mistake hamper his efforts.
Swim check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Mareike is still unable to get deeper...5 pts of dmg again.
The fisher shakes his head as he notices Marek's inability to swim
Got some fine lungs, but doesn't know the technique, eh?
Meanwhile Harry and Ailetha manage to dive farther and farther...
Suddenly you notice a large shadow moving just at the edge of Ailetha's light spell...
Celestra Zomesco
Celestra looks over the edge of the boat and looks to see if she can offer Marek help if he needs it.
"Got some fine lungs, but doesn't know the technique, eh?"
"Well, I'm sure that it is much harder than it looks. In fact, I'm sure Marek probably hasn't had a lot of swimming practice in his life. I mean, how many of us really have? Even as a sailor, we rarely jumped in and swam about."
Celestra calls to Marek if he resurfaces. "Are you ok, my friend! How is the water? Is it cold? How are the rest doing? Do you want a hand back up into the boat, or are you going to go down again?"
Turning to Alana, Celestra comments, "I hope we find some lead down there, because I think Harry is getting frustrated with the task we've been charged with. In fact, I think he is even contemplating going back to his life as an old sea dog."
Heavy Harry
Dice down initiative - Harry isn't anxious, he's excited and eager to kill something in order to vent all his frustrations :p Besides, we don't have/need light, we are the monster race people... so we are moving into the dark to ambush it :)
DM Zyren/ Heart of Runes
When Harry decides to find out what is hiding in the shadows he swims over to where he saw the large silhouette and is greeted by a fish with a long and slender body with light spots along its sides and a tooth-filled maw. A giant pike that doesn't waste time and attacks...
and lets Hqarry have the first swing :)
Heavy Harry
Well, we were hoping to ambush it, suppose we can go to the chase and beat its teeth in...
Harry starts swinging, "Ailetha, Move to one side and we can flank it"
Powerattacking + Inspire
Attack 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 2 = 22
Damage 1d12 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 14 + 2 = 17
Attack 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 = 13
Damage 1d12 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 14 + 2 = 25
Ailetha Aurcalam
Hoping to avoid the creature's teeth, Ailetha attempts to swim around the fish to provide flanking for Harry.
Fighting Defensively:
Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 2 - 4 = 22 <-- add +2 if flanking
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Celestra Zomesco
After a while, Celestra strikes up a conversation with the captain of the boat. "So my friends have been down there quite a while. I take it that you've been fishing these waters all you life. Can you tell me, are there any dangerous creatures down there?"
