With Khaz next Molos, he was able to protect his ally. Swinging his mace in a large arc, the ghoul had an easy choice: abandon it’s attack or die. Not that the choice truly mattered, because Khaz was able to get a second attack in, just as powerful as the first.

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

With the immediate threat over, Khaz rushed over to Lorena’s side.
2x CLW: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16

”Bolka’s merciful mace! Ach, what a bloody fight that was.”

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

”Aye, P. Just glad we all survived.” And then to Jocasta he said ”Ambushed by ghouls n’ demons. Bloody fookers had us surrounded. Now let’s see if we can find our comrades. I pray they’re still alive.”
Will take 20 on Perception, checking for secret rooms as well

Purple Pointyear |

"You think that's all their force, or are we running into the next group around the corner?"
Purple helps Khaz looking for secret doors, lost things other signs of where to search next, or valueables that might be worth taking along.
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
Or if possible, take 20 for 35

DM Raltus |

After making sure that no one else is coming, Purple moves about the room Taking 20. It takes her some time but she is able to find a stash of healing supplies under the Altar. 6 potions of Cure Light wounds are found here. There is an exit to the east that appears to lead further into the facility. As everyone is healing up you hear a bell begin to toll.
Sosiel should have told you this was here and I forgot too, so you guys know about it.

Lorena. |

Fading to black after the ghoul's vicious assault, Lorena found herself sluggishly wandering in the shadow lands again, the din of battle barely audible in the distance. After what seemed like an eternity, she once again came across the shadowy figure that haunted her dreams. While in body, it still resembled her own form, the voice had changed - echoing with an otherworldly power, equal parts honey and rage, filling the tiefling with dread as she approached wearily.
"You...I gave you all those gifts, and for what? For you to go out and fight like a brute? I'm disappointed. Luckily for you, I don't give up on my investments so easily. Now go, and make use of all your talents, or you may not be so lucky next time."
With that, Lorena wakes up to Khaz standing over her, closing the worst of her wounds up with his divine power. Once she's able to stand again, she says her thanks and finishes up the healing job on herself, but stays silent otherwise, mulling over her fever dream.
Khaz's spells left me at 35/42
clw: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
so yeah, I have been thinking it over while downed and I really haven't been using my oracle abilities much. part of it is that, while very flavorful, they aren't that useful, which I'm fine with. but, I'm also just really stingy with limited-use abilities, even when we've got plenty enough now. so maybe we can fix that now.

DM Raltus |

Purple finds onthing on the normal looking Ghouls, the fancy ones have spell component pouches, flails and some master work armor on them. Both have a stick that could be a wand, the tolling of the bell grows louder as everyone is looking around.
Both wands of Cure Light wounds with 12 charges each

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

”Right. Good finds, but that bell is creeping me out. Let’s get our arses moving while we still can. I want to know where that sound is coming from.”

Molos Sarazan |

"Less erratic than me, Jocasta. These belong with Lorena" Molos has been studying his new allies intently. He uses his photographic memory to review the fighting. This will help him prepare the proper spells for this group. He gives the wands to Lorena. "That bell!" He has the sudden urge to stop that noise at any cost.

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Khaz shrugged, glad to see that for once he wasn’t expected to carry something. ”Ready?”

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

”Aye. It’s the power of Bolka. It is an honor to have the strength provided.” He said, glancing at the artifact in his hands.

Purple Pointyear |

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Purple uncorks a potion vial and downs it. The rest she packs away. With her bow in hand she readies herself to follow the others in second or third row. She carefully watches, that no one corcles them and prevents their retreat like last time.
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28

Lorena. |

"Ah. Yes, I can use these. Thanks." Though, why would ghouls be carrying curing wands? Did they belong to the people they had been before they turned into ghouls? Either way, Lorena stows the wands away and readies herself, eyes and ears open for any more trouble.

DM Raltus |

Purple looks at the door, seeing not traps or anything amiss she nods to Khaz to proceed and takes her pace in the middle. Khaz opens the door to find what is left of a Dining Hall, the far door closes as you open the door.
D4. Dining Hall
Three stone tables stand in this room, and their wooden benches
lie broken and half-rotten around them. Leather straps with
restraints stretch across their surface, buckled tightly in place.
Nearby, a knotted rope descends through a tiny hole in the ceiling.
The thing in the bottom is the bell, took me a minute to figure it out. It is high up

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

”Empty?” Khaz said, confused. ”More foes could be about. Let’s finish searching the area, and let’s keep our eyes open.”

DM Raltus |

The next door leads to a small room with a door to the north, you can infer that this will lead back to the courtyard that you looked at before but never ventured into. A door to the east leads to a kitchen The ripe stench of decay chokes the air of this room, emanating
from the bodies of two deceased soldiers hanging from the
rafters. Various cabinets and tables stand around a fireplace
in the south wall, a door leads north.

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

”Awww...nah. That isn’t right.” Khaz said, seeing the bodies, and imagining the state of their comrades. ”This place will need to be purified and the bodies properly buried. But we need to find...” He trailed off, the words sticking in his throat.

Jocasta Riverwood |

Jocasta waves one hand in front of her face vainly and frowns. "Obviously we've got our work cut out for us. When demons get into a place like this and defile it, some of them usually dig in. We have to get these bodies down, give them rites... but first we need to make sure this place is secured, so we aren't caught off-guard while we're digging graves."

DM Raltus |

The Door to the north leads to another destroyed room, The stained-glass windows lining the ceiling of this quiet chamber have all been shattered, leaving colorful broken glass scattered across the stone floor. Inside the room are two bounded and hooded figures.
One of the figures has what looks like some feathers on their body
You make no noise nor can you hear anything at all, even from those outside the room.

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Khaz entered the room, walking in complete silence. He kept his eyes out for any danger.

Purple Pointyear |

Khaz is a great in combat, but he is not exactly stealthy in his full plate. As every noise from him simply stops as he enters the room Purple becomes suspicious. "There is an unnatural silence on that room! Beware that's a trap!"
She readies her bow to shoot at any enemy that starts moving.
The map hasn't been updated for a while. Not sure which room we are looking into.

DM Raltus |

You are presently in D7, tokens moved
Khaz notes no danger, the complete silence allows Khaz to move up behind these two figures without alerting them that he is here at all. The rest of the group stands watching as Purple says her warning that Khaz just cannot hear.
Molos detects very strong Illusion magic, after concentrating for a while he gets the feeling he may know this spell.
This is a Silence spell but someone very powerful cast it here. You are unlikely to be able to dispel it

Molos Sarazan |

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
What is it centered on?
"There is a Silence spell here and someone very powerful cast it. I am not prepared to attempt a disple."

Khaz Cloudbreaker |

Unable to hear anything, Khaz continued forward. If any danger was here, he wanted to be the one to face it first. He glanced down at Radiance. Seeing it renewed his resolve. He had to be worthy of the relic. Failure wasn’t an option.

Lorena. |

"Well, I guess he can't hear us, then. Let's follow."
what's the light level in here?
