I stay where I am at the head of the pack animals and load a crossbow bolt into my bow, trying to keep the animals calm. "If it isn't one thing it's another." I mumble to myself.

-INACTIVE-

"Get the hell away from my dog!" Rhona shrieks in anger, not paying any attention to the fact that Sal doesn't actually belong to her specifically, and with sword and shield in hand, tries to crash her way through the foliage so that she can make her way toward the cougar with her next move.

Double-moved. I'm sure it's difficult terrain getting through the bushes, so I can't get too far this turn.

Chantif and Umash both miss the nimble baby cougar. Rhona hears another MRRROW! behind her as she beats through the bushes, and she barely gets her shield around in time to fend off teeth and one claw belonging to another, larger cougar. She isn't as lucky with the other claw, however, and it slices the side of her sword arm and pins it against her chest. Sal quits bleeding. The baby cougar tries to run towards its mother. It tries to bite Rhona, but its jaws close on empty air.
Rhona takes 4 damage and is grappled. Sal is stable at -9. Chantif and Umash are both entitled to AoOs, and the party is up.

GM Rolls:
bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 L. claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 R. claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 grab: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 claw damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4Sal: 1d20 + 3 - 9 ⇒ (20) + 3 - 9 = 14Baby cougar bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Chantif gives the younger cat a smashing blow with his flail as it runs away, then he gives chase. He catches up as it reaches Rhona, then hoists his flail over his head and brings it down hard on the poor cat.

"Of course mommy is not far...", Umash slices her falchion deep into the smaller cougar trying to run past her.

Then she produces the large vial from her bandolier and pops the stopper off. Downing the liquid, her muscles start to bulge with wet popping noises as she begins to circle around the battle.

Finally doing my Str mutagen (+4 STR, -2 INT, +2 nat. AC). Then moving.

Umash's swing decapitates the poor baby cougar.

Umash, I moved you back onto the road because the trees are difficult terrain. You don't have enough movement to go farther. Chantif, you have a standard action left, since the AoOs killed the small cougar.

- INACTIVE (GM abandoned game) -

Alright, I'll move 5' farther with my move action (I only moved 25' before), drop my flail and draw my longspear as I go. With soft cover from Rhona and no flanking that makes my longspear attack against the bigger cat hit AC14 for Longspear, damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Chantif draws his Longspear as he approaches Rhona engaged in melee with the other cat, then he drives the spear over Rhona's shoulder in an attempt to pierce the cat's hide.

I didn't see the trees, they blend in with the background a little for me. I moved an alternate route now, i think that should be legal. (since you can move through allied squares without penalty)

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Seeing another, larger, cat jump out of the bushes and knowing I would be just as likely to hit Rhona as the cat if I fire at it. I begin looking around frantically to see if there are even more of them, pointing my crossbow every which way.

Rhona growls furiously as the cougar's gnashing jaws nearly close on her. "Son of a...!" she gasps as she struggles to find an angle through which to strike with her longsword.

Longsword: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 2 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Drexel:
You don't see any more cougars.

The cougar maneuvers to get a better hold on Rhona as its claws slash into her.

Rhona takes 12 damage and is now pinned. Party up.

GM Rolls:

If the Cougar has Rhona pinned, shouldn't they be sharing the same space? Regardless, can I attack the Cougar from my current space?
Rhona, don't forget your extra HP from the semi-level-up we did.

I don't see anything that says they have to be sharing the same space, although I can see where you're coming from, logic-wise. I'm picturing it as the cougar rearing up on its hind legs and more or less pinning her arms to her sides with its arms as it reaches around her. You can attack from where you are, but Rhona's still providing it cover.

Chantif starts moving into the bushes to circle around the Cougar and Rhona. "Surround it and we can strike together!"

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 with the cougar in a grapple that may actually hit
Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 = 9

-INACTIVE-

Can I attack while pinned? I can't seem to find a concrete answer, though most people debating the issue seem to say no. Guessing all I can really do is try to escape...

CMB: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Nice?

7/23 hp remaining, if my math is right.

Chantif stabs, and Umash slashes, but the cougar doesn't go down. Rhona breaks free of the creature's hold. The creature looks back briefly, as if contemplating an escape, but attacks Rhona again. It connects with its teeth and one of its claws; Rhona falls unconscious.

My math is the same as yours, Rhona. The 9 damage from this turn puts you at -2. Party up.

Chantif steps into position and drives his spear at the big cat.

Crunch:
Notes:
I'm never at a computer when I remember I am up for this round. I finally decided to post without looking at the map. I was going to circle around to flank with Rhona, but with get down and Umash standing still my best bet is to try to flank with her from the trees instead. Please move me to flanking position if I'm not there already.
I'll let you roll concealment for me this time

Round 4 action:

"But I'm worthless with the crossbow!" I call out in anguish and drop it to the ground. Suddenly I shout "I've got it! I hustle over to Rhona making sure to keep well away from the large cat, casting vanish as I do so. Once Next to her I clamp my hands firmly on her wrists and Rhona disappears from sight.

Vanish has caused Rhona to disappear for 2 rounds starting now, I am 5 ft away from the cat and on my next turn I am prepared to drag her away from combat so long as I am not about to die hah.

No problem, I figured vanish would be good since once you pop visible again I can try and stabilize you and it wouldn't draw too much attention to me.
