A Broken World

Game Master Haiku


The men and women who will become the player characters live in a tiny world that is all they have ever known, but yearn for more. When a mundane investigation in a missing persons case leads to the discovery of a deadly threat, the player characters must find a way to exit the demiplane that has served as a refuge – or prison – for generations. The escape leads them to the wide landscape of a desert world, cut off from the rest of the population that was seemingly just behind them in their escape. Without food, water, or weapons, the party must improvise or scavenge for the necessities to survive and fend off the merciless enemies as they explore the wasteland.
The party will find pockets of civilization that have been warped by years of isolation, and explore the ruins of nations past to uncover intact magic and technologies which have the power to build a new nation or overtake the world by the sword. All the while they must seek to answer the inevitable question – what happened to destroy the world – and can it be saved?
