Blood of Heroes

Other RPGs

Has anyone played this? I know it's an extension of Mayfair's DC Heroes 3rd Edition with a few changes, some major, some minor. But while I've always been the D&D/PF game master, by far my favorite experience as a player was a 12 year long DC Heroes campaign. We're looking at starting a BoH game after we finish the Call of Cthulhu campaign in a few months and I was just curious as to what other folks' opinions were.

Bueller? Bueller?

Blood of Heroes is an expanded and revised version of the classic DCH rules without the DC license. If you happen to get a copy of the book, go for the second edition, as it has fewer errors and more revisions. The included setting is kind of lame, but in general the game plays like DCH that has gone through much more rigorous playtesting.

I've borrowed then ordered my own copy (and made sure to get second edition) since I posted the first inquiry. I like what I see, with the new skills, drawbacks, etc. Even some new powers, if I'm recalling correctly. We played the 2nd edition of DC Heroes way back in the day, and it ended about the time 3rd edition came out.

So it plays the same as the 3e version? That's good to know, then. Some of the players won't have the money to buy the BoH book, so if it's completely backwards compatible they'll be in good shape.

Thanks, TarSpartan!
