I changed up the addresses and such on some of my orders, and the pathfinder playmat I pre ordered before was a price of 20.79, after the change on the customer service email I got about the order, at the very end of the details it threw in like a random 19-20 dollar shipping amount that wasn't there before, and the new address for it isn't like far or out of the way, its actually much better located than the other address, so to me it seems like this should be an error? I also assumed the mat would end up shipping with one of the other orders in august that being either with the skull and shackles base set or the 7 class decks, so it having a shipping cost at all when it didn't before seems off to me, especially it being shipping almost doubling the price of the order, so is this an error and can be fixed?

The shipping cost for the playmat looks to be accurate, due to its size it needs to be shipped in a larger box, resulting in higher shipping costs. The amount we charge in shipping is the amount we expect it to take to get a product to you.
To counter this I've moved it to be shipped via your sidecart along with your pending Character Decks and your August subscription products. This should allow us to ship them all together in the most economic means possible, minimizing shipping costs for all of the products.

alright thanks, so can you explain exactly what the sidecart does, is it something that just says, hey ship this with a future order? cause everytime I go to pre order something, it just becomes a normal order, im not sure ive ever seen the sidecart option

Sure thing!
We have more information about sidecarts on the Paizo FAQ. In essence, it holds items you want to be shipped to you on hold until your monthly subscription shipment, at which time it adds them to your monthly shipment to try and minimize the cost of shipping.
To set things to your sidecart during the checkout process you'll want to go to step 2 - shipping options. Bring up the available shipping options and you should see one available at the top labelled 'Ship with My Subscriptions'. This option should set items to your sidecart to be bundled with your next subscription shipment.
Please note that non physical products such as digital downloads and MP3s do not require shipping methods, and they won't have an option to be added to your sidecart since they become available for download at the time of purchase.
