Background: Cursed (+2 Stealth) A Seeker from The Blood of Vol pulled me back from The Shadowfell. It is no lovely place but it was the next step of my journey. Now I must live as this frightening creature without reason/direction.

<<RACIAL ABILITIES>>

  • Skill Bonuses: +2 Endurance, +2 Intimidate.
  • Dark Reaping: I can use dark reaping as an encounter power.
  • Past life: (Human)
  • Undead: I am considered to be an undead creature for effects that relate to that keyword. I am also considered a living creature.
  • Unnatural Vitality: Whenever I drop to 0 hit points or fewer (and am dying), I can choose to be dazed instead of falling unconscious. I attempt death saving throws as normal and if I fail one, I fall unconscious instead of being dazed. (Dazed - I get one action but cannot flank, take imm or opp actions and I grant combat advantage.

<<CLASS ABILITIES>>

*All damages receive a +3(cha) if the target is NOT adjacent to other enemies.
Assassin's Shroud, Night Stalker Guild Training, Shade Form, Shadow Step
*Feat Brutal Shroud: Reroll all 1's on shroud damage.

<<POWERS>>

    At Will (class feature)
    Shadow Step:

    Shadow, Teleportation, Move Action, Personal
Requirement: I must be adjacent to a creature
Effect: I teleport 3 squares to a square adjacent to a different creature.

    At Will (class feature)

    Assassin's Shroud:

    Free Action, Close Burst 10
    Target: One enemy in burst
Effect: I subject the target to my shroud. If any of my shrouds are already on the target, I subject it to an additional shroud, up to a maximum of four. The shrouds last until I use this power against a different enemy or until the end of the encounter.

Before I make an attack roll against the target, I choose to invoke either all or none of my shrouds. If I invoke my shrouds, the attack deals 1d6 damage per shroud, minus one shroud if the attack misses, and all my shrouds then vanish from the target. This damage roll never benefits from bonuses to damage rolls, and is in addition to the attack’s damage, if any.

    At Will (lvl 2 Utility)

    False Bravado:

    Minor Action
    Requirement: I must be marked
Effect: I am no longer marked.

    At Will (lvl 1)

    Shadow Storm:

    Shadow, Weapon, Standard Action
    Target: One creature
    Dex vs. AC
Hit: 1[W] + Dexterity modifier damage, plus 1 damage for each creature adjacent to the target.
    (AB: +8 vs AC)
(Dam: 1d8+5 +1 per adjacent creature)

    At Will (lvl 1)

    Leaping Shade:

    Shadow, Weapon, Standard Action
    Target: One creature
    Dex vs. AC
Hit: 1[W] + Dexterity modifier damage. If I didn’t invoke my shrouds on the target, it takes 1 extra damage for each of my shrouds on it.
    (AB: +8 vs AC)
(Dam: 1d8+5 +1 per uninvoked shroud)

    Encounter (racial)

    Dark Reaping:

    Necrotic, Free Action
Trigger: A creature within 5 squares of me is reduced to 0 hit points
Effect: One creature I hit with an attack I make before the end of my next turn takes an additional 1d8 + Constitution modifier necrotic damage.
    (Dam: 1d8+2)

    Encounter (class feature)

    Shade Form:

    Shadow, Personal, Minor Action
Effect: I assume a shadowy form that lasts until I attack or the end of my next turn. While in this form, I am insubstantial, and gain vulnerable 5 radiant. I can also make Stealth checks to become hidden if I have any cover or concealment. (I can use cover granted by my allies to become and remain hidden.)
    Sustain Minor: The form persists.

    Encounter (lvl 1)

    Nightmare Shades:

Fear, Implement, Psychic, Shadow, Standard Action, Ranged 5
    Target: One creature
    Dex vs. Will
Hit: 2d8 + Dexterity modifier psychic damage, and the target grants combat advantage to me until the end of my next turn.
**Night Stalker: Until the end of my next turn, I gain a power bonus to damage rolls against the target equal to my Charisma modifier.

    (Dam: 3d8+5 / Miss: Half)

DESCRIPTION:
Katsuye is thin (waifish) but rather than appearing underfed she looks wiry...all sinew and muscle. She is pale (unnaturally ashen) with deepset solid black eyes. Her fiery red pupils glow out at you from beneath her glossy, black hair. Her face remains expressionless...if it weren't for her eerie eyes you would think her face carved from marble.
Katsuye dresses in dark matte leather from neck to toes. If you get close enough, you can clearly make out the detailed stitching (grinning skulls like you would see in the Mexican holiday, the day of the dead) and buckles (all made of bone). On each shoulder, stitched in purple, are displacer beasts. Her hands look more like claws with black, curved nails tipping the ends of her grey fingers. It is only the glint of metal from her Khopesh that belies her more human past. She wears a hooded cloak when traveling. Although it draws attention, it is better attention than when she walked around all red-eyes and claws. She will not remove the cloak until she is somewhere she considers safe.

BACKGROUND:
Some Revenants are chosen by the gods themselves...they have some purpose, meaning or quest to fulfill. Some Revenants are brought back through strong rituals or necromancy spells. Such was the case for Katsuye. Instead of continuing her journey in death she was thrust back into this world at the behest of another. She does not know the task for which she was chosen, or by whom...but a name burns in her brain. A NAME that makes her blood feel afire, her fingers flex and her grip on her khopesh tighten. She was human once...she doesn't know if this is a name from her past (does she seek revenge?)...is this the name of her so-called benefactor...or is this name the reason why she was brought back? Without a clear path Katsuye wandered about and fell in with a group that not only cared little for her odd appearance but appreciated and exploited the fear it generates (House Thuranni). They provided her with training and resources and in return she focused her frustrations and became another deadly asset.

CHARACTERISTICS:
Katsuye has only been returned recently (a year or less). She is a little lost...her memories are faded and fleeting. She knows enough to speak common and will occasionally do things instinctively that show glimpses of what was probably her former life. She tends to rely on her streetsmarts and appearance to get her what she wants...
