So these are back in stock?
They were on back order for the longest time.

I'm having problems watching it on my dvd player. In places it stops and skips, but it looks fine.
I don't want to return the disc I have because I got it signed at Gen Con. Is there a way for a replacement disc?
Joe
When will this be at my FLGS?

Will this be available as a PDF?

Oh yeah, brother.
Drat. Mike knows all the lingo. Looking forward to these item cards just like the rest.

Does that mean y'all are going 4th edition?

Mosaic wrote: Any idea which ones yet? I'd love to see a list, but because I already have a lot of these, the most useful list would be one that says which ones they were in the old sets. "#23 Short Sword" wouldn't help me because I would have no idea which short sword was being reprinted. But something that said, "Item Pack One cards being reprinted: 01, 03, 04, etc." would be fantastic.
BTW, Item Pack One was a 52 card set and Hero's Hoard was 110, but if I recall correctly, there was a 30ish card overlap, leaving about about 130 unique cards. While essentials won't have ALL the cards from both sets, at 110, it will probably have MOST of them.
Nothing new though, right?
Around 20 cards missing by my calculations.

I have enjoyed your blog since I discovered it a few months back. It has made my organization of my Items Cards a breeze. I look forward to your Elements of Power gallery.
Could you blog more about your Ptolus game?

Thanks!
It is in WotC's plan to release them as PDFs. As to when I can't say just yet. Unless WotC has another sale, they will be cover price.

Vic Wertz wrote: In the case of full-page maps, like the ones on the inside covers of the Rise of the Runelords Player's Guide, it appears that Adobe Reader is treating the image like it treats page backgrounds—that is, you have to option-click them to select them. (I guess this is intended to keep you from accidentally selecting the background when you're trying to select the text.)
Those particular maps aren't flattened, so you can select the image without any of the text with no problem.
I've tried with the RotR PG, no success. I'm using Adobe Reader 8.1
j.
Christopher West wrote: The process of producing the maps and delivering them to Paizo usually involves flattening the text layers into the image, so the numbers and labels are part of the image itself. This makes the files a lot more manageable in terms of size: they transfer to Paizo more smoothly.
That said, I've started providing them with layered versions where the text can be edited at Paizo if they find a typo, so that may open up the possibility for something like the PDF image capture you're talking about. The text is still in Photoshop when I send it to them, though, with special layer adjustments to create outlines, shadowing, etc--so I don't know how hard it would be for them to remake it in their design & layout software.
I'm no PDF expert, but how come I can copy the text off the images?
j., Christopher West is my favorite cartographer but Rob Lazzaretti is getting better every day.
They even disabled the use of the select image tool to snag the image without the text on them. They lost me as a customer until we get unlabeled maps.
j.
For the PDF, I wish you could snag the picture of the maps without the text on them.
j.
Will there be a PDF to purchase?
j.
How do you cancel a subscription?

BenS wrote: Has anyone compared what's in this and what's in Arcana Evolved? I'm thinking that most if not all of this sourcebook was incorporated into AE; but if not, what would I be missing? I'm mostly interested in the setting's history & geography. The gazetteer section of AE was excellent, but only half the page count of this book. Then again, this book includes all kinds of other things, too. All of Diamond Throne is in AE.

I believe monsters like Beholders, Illithids, Yuan-ti are all IP of WoTC (mmmm . . . abbreviations) You can use them if you call them something else. You will have to totally stat them out as you can't reference the MM for those creatures.
Like Ocular Tyrant for a beholder, and Misbegotten for a mind flayer.

I like the stat block but I would want the skills and feats separated like they are in Ptolus. For example:
Crucial Skills: Bluff +38, Concentration +30, Escape Artist +10, Hide +13, Intimidate +19, Listen +22, Move Silently +13, Search +11, Spot +22, Tumble +15.
Other Skills: Craft (alchemy) +20, Diplomacy +13, Disguise +17, Knowledge (arcana) +20, Knowledge (history) +7, Knowledge (local) +20, Knowledge (nobility and royalty) +11, Survival +2, Use Rope +10.
Crucial Feats: Dodge, Heighten Spell, Maximize Spell, Mobility, Spell Penetration.
Other Feats: Alertness, Craft Wondrous Item, Magical Aptitude, Persuasive, Scribe Scroll.

I'm hoping that each adventure path will have different iconics. Especially since pregens are going to be included.

When will this be shipped (pun intended)?
Peace and smiles :)
j.
Y'all better have a good supply at GenCon, because every Ptolus fan that is going, will be buying the miniatures then.

I'll be snagging some of these for my group. I'm not the DM for this one though.
