About Azuma Stormcloud

Azuma Stormcloud was born a Water Baby: A child of man and woman who has the sea in his bones. His rare nature was discovered quite young, and he became a favourite among the clans of his small fishing village, something of a good omen to the elders and a mascot for the fishermen. His kinship with the water made him a peerless fisherman but his father found it difficult to get him to work hard. He would much prefer swimming alone or sitting on the rocks contemplating the ocean. He developed a serene nature, but when confronted with injustice or bullying he was liable to explode into violence.

Though he was good-natured, all of this attention bred a strong sense of destiny in the boy, and this was only strengthened when he received a series of prophetic dreams from what he percieved to be the goddess Thetos calling him to a powerful fate. He resolved to tread the path of the hero, and set out from his village with the blessings of his people and a blade at his hip.

Azuma is humble and simple in habits and taste, but he is utterly convinced that his unknown destiny is a great one. This makes him sometimes reckless in battle, and can bring on dark moods. For all of that though, he is an unusually kind, gentle, and courageous person, who is filled with mercy for the weak and repays evil with his sword.
