Never mind dentistry. How about those times when Harry fainted from Dementor exposure, and the treatment involved eating chocolate? The last time it happened, the school nurse demanded something like "You're not leaving until you eat all this chocolate!"
Don't you wish REAL medical conditions could have treatments like that?

In those Harry Potter books, one of the characters fixed her teeth using magic. Don't you wish that could really be the case?
I mean, who loves going to the dentist and having one of those evil sadists drill into your tooth? It's crazy!
Oh, sure, just put Hermione's muggle parents out of business, why don't you?

I must have missed that part. I always wondered why Harry did not just have a magical Ophthalmologist fix his eyes.

For a bunch of bad-ass magic users, the sure did miss out on a lot of practical applications.
I know! Harry's owl can send letters to Sirius, who's a fugitive on the run with unknown whereabouts. Does this mean that owls have some magical ability to find people? Well in that case, why can't the ministry find Sirius with their own owls?! For that matter, why don't they track down Voldemort and all the Death Eaters this way?
It was a fun series, but there are so many things about it that make no sense!

Or Hermione and Harry just using their cell phones to call each other?? Actually if you pay close attention to the time line, cell phones were not really out yet.

Edit I take that back, it would have been late 1990's so yes they could have had pagers and or cell phones and would have known about them too. Especially in the final books.

An owl flies over and drops an envelope on Lucious Malfoy's desk. He opens it, removes the letter, and unfolds it.
"Dear Malfoy,
Guess what spell I prepared this morning?
Love and Kisses,
Dumbledore"
