Can I begin my PC with one level of an NPC class?

I'd like to start as a 1st level Expert an then move to standard classes. I like the character concept I have for my Society PC but it would really help to start with a level in Expert; the skill list I want to build is pretty specific and I don't like the flavor of Bard.

Nope. Standard character generation rules apply. NPC classes are for NPCs.

There are a lot of feats and traits which make different skills class skills, so you may want to look at those, as they'll allow you to customize your class skill list a little bit more.
