A few quick notes This is a Standard/Classic-mode game, not CORE. It is a Tier 1 game, so your character must be 1st level to play.

5 (covering the usual spots of fighter, thief, magic-user, and cleric) is enough to start with, if we get a 6th before to long that's great, if not that's fine too.
Opening the Gameplay thread.

Einarr, It says on your sheet that you're a brewer. Did you want to make a Day Job roll?
Einarr Bjornson
|
That is what I get for posting when drowsy. Apparently he had too much ale and forgot his day job roll.
Day Job:Brewer: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Einarr will either take the front, unless the sneak wants that spot, in which case he will be second.
Doughlas
|
Oops, forgot to do the actual job roll
Day Job:Gravedigger: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Any spot that isn't first or last.

Oh, I just squeaked in as the sixth! Let me know if it's too late, otherwise I'll head over to the gameplay thread now. Thanks.

Yer in Meloriel. Recruiting is closed. Figure out your place in the marching order.

Right before Ramachandra (or after, if you prefer, Rama).

Hey, guys. I just found out my power's going to be down tomorrow. I won't be able to post until late in the evening. Sorry for the hold up.

Still learning the game, do I have to cast defensively with Grave Touch? Use to my spells being ranged touch attack and haven't tried any melee related yet.
Grave Touch (Sp): Starting at 1st level, you can make a melee touch attack as a standard action that causes a living creature to become shaken for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your sorcerer level (minimum 1). If you touch a shaken creature with this ability, it becomes frightened for 1 round if it has fewer Hit Dice than your sorcerer level. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

If you don't want to provoke an AoO, from someone that can reach you, then yes. (Sp) means spell-like ability. It is subject to many of the same rules as casting spells, including concentration checks and spell resistance.

My daughter is graduating from College tomorrow and I am driving down for it. I will be gone this afternoon until friday evening. Apologies. Bot Einarr as appropriate.

Einarr, congrats on your daughter's graduation. A couple of my kids are graduating from high-school in a few weeks and we're just now beginning the college adventure.
Heading to PaizoCon later today so I'll be a bit delayed in replying to posts.

Can I precharge this spell-like ability like I would with Chill Touch?
Grave Touch (Sp): Starting at 1st level, you can make a melee touch attack as a standard action
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
It is spell-like so I don't see why not.

Doughlas, Einarr, did either of you want to roll your day job checks or did you (or anyone else) have other things they wanted to do before I finalize the chronicle sheets?
Esper Zevral

Nope, I'm good.

I think I have a disease to take care of...
Heal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Fort: 1d20 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (6) - 1 + 4 = 9
Fort (folio reroll 2 stars): 1d20 - 1 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) - 1 + 4 + 2 = 12
Heal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Fort: 1d20 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (10) - 1 + 4 = 13
Pretty sure that should take care of a standard strain of Filth Fever for the dire rats (DC 11, 2 consecutive saves to cure)

You do. I was just looking into that when you posted.
Side note, I should have chronicles up and everything reports in the next 24 hours.

Awesome game, DM.
That was my favorite orphanage scene of any First Steps game I’ve ever played. You were great with Auntie!
She can be pretty difficult to suss out. The party got 1.5 out of 3 of her dirty little secrets this time--mainly because of a vicious, digital die roller.
It's the hard knock life*, I guess. Glad you had fun.
* Ramachandra was the only one to hear this clue (I think) when you were all standing outside on the front walk before knocking on the door.
Update Reported!
Aww, look at that I got a little star.

Thanks to everyone. I'll close down the thread midweek. If I don't hear from Einarr before then I'll PM him his link. Here's hoping the best for him. And everyone else. See you all on the boards.
Stay thirsty my friends.
