Galactric ancestries: I have ... concerns.

On pages 195 and 196, there are two pieces of art by what appears to be the same artist.
In them there is a rather missable, but once noticed, glaring difference between them and the piece of older art from SF1 on page 192.
Do my eyes deceive me, or are they missing a set of vestigal arms and instead replaced by a pair of tusks just above the hips?
I am very curious about this difference in interpretation between the three pieces of art for the Trox.
