Does Age of ashes factor into this AP at all

Dark Archive

As the title says just read the players guide and I am curious to see how much (if any) that previous ap plays in this one (More because I want to see how it matches up with the how age of ashes ended for my group with the order of the Torrent running the citadel.)

Spoilers for GMs:
Age of Ashes is more relevant in the Society Scenarios than this AP. Having read the AP i can say that the story begins in Breachill for one scene meeting a contact and then the party pretty much immediately leaves Breachill to head to Saringallow. This story begins 6 years after Age of Ashes, but theres nothing related to Citadel Altaerin or Alseta's Ring. Nothing new that isn't already printed in the Players Guide and Pages 204-205 of the Battlecry! book

The AP presumes that the heroes of Age of Ashes gifted Citadel Altaerein to the citizens of Breachill. But nothing really depends on this. As usual, if it matters to your group, you just need to adapt to explain what happened to the Age of Ashes heroes and, if they are still around, why this band of demigods does not show up to kick the Hellknights back to Cheliax and mop up other threats over the weekend. I would just assume they are on epic business in other planes.

Not very much, but the story does open in Cayden's Keg, so you can have a small cameo from some old friends if you'd like.

At this point in the story the citadel was captured by Eagle Knights.

Could be they are helping off-screen by fighting Hell directly out there.

After all, the Adamantine Morass IS located in Hell... *eyebrow waggle*

The Breachill Survivor background from the Player's Guide also gives a lot of licence to root characters in specific events from Age of Ashes. Such as…

Age of Ashes Spoiler:
A Bumblebrasher Goblin. Someone from one of the other aiudara locations that returned with the party, such as an Anadi or Mualijae Elf from the Mwangi, or a Katapeshi merchant. A Summoner who picked up a nefarious-looking dragon eidolon from the dragonstorm at the start of Broken Promises. Or a School of Gates Wizard who learned from studying Alseta's Ring. I'm just spitting out ideas here.
