Character Sheet PDFs for PF2E Remaster

Product Discussion

I'm in the process of teaching myself PF2E Remaster by attempting to create 1st level characters so that I can try and run a game.

To date, I've only had the opportunity to create and play a Rogue.

One of the issues I'm encountering is that I'm very new to character creation for all the other classes. I'm trying to find a tool that will allow me to download character sheets (possibly customized by class) in a PDF format and then I can just focus on filling in the blanks associated with character creation and the rest of the sheet calculates on its own.

I was able to find something unofficial that was created for PF2E before the Remaster, but I'm having difficulty finding something post Remaster.

Does anyone know if Paizo or a 3rd party is selling something like this?

I'm not aware of current autocalc character sheets as PDFs, but if you're fine with building the character in a tool and /then/ exporting a PDF, perhaps try Pathbuilder2E ?

My hope with using PDFs is that if the players liked the sample character, I could just send them the PDF to continue to build from.

Do you know if Pathbuilder lets you transfer ownership of a character? If so, maybe that would work as an alternate.

I don't know off-hand if it lets you transfer ownership outright, but it does offer an option to "Share a Copy" of a character build which would allow them to edit their own version.

I noticed with Pathbuilder that if I kick some money at it, they give you the option to save to a Google Drive.

Do you know if when it's saved it's an editable PDF?

I'm thinking about how I can easily share these characters with players who might use a variety of devices.

I did take a Pathbuilder PDF and load it into Javelin3. The PDF fields were editable, but there is no autocalc; at least, updating an ability score modifier did not appear to automatically adjust related modifiers.

The data Pathbuilder saves to drive is in its internal format, not a PDF. It'll generate a PDF if you ask for one, though its not really super editable.

Honestly in these situations if they prefer to switch to paper, let them just print off a character sheet of their choice (there are some very nice third party ones out there in addition to the remaster one) and just fill it in. Editable PDFs are a huge PITA vs pen and paper when they aren't calculating anything.
