They are absolutely still available to run, I know a couple of upcoming midwest conventions have them on the schedule SkalCon and Gamehole Con. There are at least a few in person options generally in the Wisconsin/ Minnesota area as well. Otherwise online through warhorn has options. If you happen to be in those areas I can get you some links if you would like.

There's no new 1e scenarios being written. However existing ones can still be offered and reported, but can be harder to find.

PFS 1e is still going. You can even still earn GM Stars.
There's a pretty big PFS 1e community on the Play by Post forums.
In fact, signups are happening right now for the next Gameday PbP convention. It starts Sept. 4th.
Ah, that explains why I saw so many that seemed to be 1e there...

PF1 Org Play is still going on.
I'd check the main Discord site as groups post there in the [PFS First Edition] # looking4game_vtt_pfs_1e and # sign-up-links_vtt_pfs_1e channels.

Roll 20 scripts are a challenge especially for the non-technical minded. There's a tutorial but not everything works as advertised as the GM has to set some things up.
You'll need a plain text file to store everything for a specific character. Once done you cut and paste into a character's "journal" tab. The other option is to create a character sheet which can be a bit daunting and time consuming.
You will need 2 pictures, the PC & the PC on a mount. For a 5*5 ft map square I'd suggest a 200*200 pixels in 1" square png format with a near transparent 1/32 inch border within your 1" square so you can grab but not obscure map grids. A file will be about 55kB.
