The Fall of Plaguestone and Hallod's "Crude Map"

The text on page 19 and 20 about the map the the players find confuses me.

Spoiler:

It sounds like it's a map that describes Hallod's hideout (where the players are currently) and that the path to the drop point is through a chamber that sounds a lot like the F7. Not out in the forest 3 miles outside of town like it states at the end of page 22.

There seems to be a disconnect. What am I missing?

I took it to mean that Hallod's map starts at F7 and goes off to the north further into the wilderness
