‘Fiddler On The Roof’ Star Chaim Topol Dead At 87
I vaguely recall watching Fiddler on the Roof when I was younger. I knew him better from the Bond movie For Your Eyes Only.

I rewatched Fiddler just a few weeks ago, because someone in an online game referenced it. (In character, even! It was a modern-day game, and the PC works as an off-Broadway actor when not doing hero stuff.) My wife is a huge musical maven, so it's in our library, and I hadn't seen it in forever.
It's no surprise that I, being Jewish, saw the Fiddler on the Roof movie many times, as well as Sallah. Or that I, being a science fiction geek, saw Flash Gordon twice, even though I disliked its silly atmosphere. I'm not aware of any version of the Flash Gordon story, other than that movie, that said that Zarkov was Jewish.
