sending diplomatic envoys (activity)

Kingmaker Second Edition

If memory serves, there is an event where an NPC kingdom (to be determined by the GM) sends envoys to the PC kingdom.

Also, I imagine it would be possible to run more than one group of PCs in the same KM campaign, at the same time. And if so, I would imaging these groups of PCs might send envoys to each other.

In either case, is it permitted for the PC kingdom in question to voluntarily lower the DC for that other kingdom's envoys to succeed at establishing diplomatic relations with them?

Sovereign Court

If it's between 2 PC kingdoms I don't see why you need a roll at all honestly.

I agree. However, whenever any bureaucracy is involved, Murphy always has a chance to strike.

Addendum...
Would this kingdom (the one being approached by a NPC kingdom or a second PC kingdom) get kingdom XP for the resulting diplomatic relationship?

Totally your call.

I'd say if you're requiring a roll then award XP.

Just remembered: By requiring a roll, there's a chance of rolling a critical success, which would also give a Fame/Infamy Point, so there's that. ;-)
