I am currently making a character for PFS in which I need to pick a Region of Origin. Specifically, I'm looking for a region that has both swamps in which snakes and other reptiles might be common AND cold areas, such as where one might encounter frozen lakes.
Is there a region within the setting that meets both those criteria? It's kind of important to have both for my character's backstory to make any sense at all.
I thought that maybe those more familiar with the setting might be able to help me find one or more suitable regions. Any help would be most appreciated.

I know the lowlands of south Varisia has swamps and or fens, while frozen lakes might be probably in the depths of winter. For some place that might be more northern (and thus more likely to guarantee frozen lakes in winter), there are swampy territories in the Stolen Lands such as the Hooktongue Slough, possibly further up the Sellen, too.

The Mushfens immediately stuck out to me.

You can also make a compelling argument for the Lake of Mists and Veils, too:

River Kingdoms also fits the bill, and there's regions that are deliberately undeveloped by Paizo specifically for players to create backstory for.
