Again with the overly dark covers

Drift Crashers

First off, the cover has some cool stuff on it.
But we're back to a really dark cover. Much like the Horizons of the Vast AP, all of those covers seemed overly dark, so does this one.

On the topic of cover art... probably hollering into the void here, but it's certain that nothing will change if no one mentions it, so...

...I wish the Starfinder AP PDFs would return to compiling separate images to create the front cover (typically background, action scene, and featured NPC). This is how Paizo handled their AP PDFs going back to the dawn of the company. It's still how they handle PF2E APs, Society scenarios, and the AP map packs accompanying these APs. But starting with Devastation Ark AP, Paizo switched to combining the three separate components of the cover into a single image in the PDF.

I don't know if this was a consequence of the ballooning file sizes of the Starfinder APs at the time or merely a coincidence, but ever since the result has been that, generally speaking, the central NPC of any given AP installment ends up with a portrait overlaid on a background so busy that the mere thought of isolating it for use in a VTT becomes a nightmare.

Seems that the graphic designer Kyle Hunter is off in attributed with these overly dark covers. Not sure if it's his doing or who's but they need to figure it out because everything disappears in the one muddled dark mass.

Wayfinders

The PDF cover seems fine to me, but the printed cover does seem darker.
