A Tall Figure, Covered from Head To Toe in jet Black Full Plate , Topped with a Horned Helm
A flowing Dark Azure cape Billows in The wind. In his right hand a Massive single Edge Axe , it's handle Wrapped in a clothe simular to Cloak that Adorns the Figure. On His other Arm A round sturdy Dark Wood Shield
This Breif Description Desribes an Image I've had in mind for a while
Only problem is I don't know It's Race or class
I want him To be Intimating and not on purpose.
He is a good Guy but , He, comes off As Scary Indviual .
The Reason for Wearing the The armor that many find Frighting is cause its been passed down from Mentor to student .
I want him to be good in battle but award in social situation as he naturally comes off as intimidating . But he is sincerely good hearted, and fights for the people, , even if they run when he comes to town
I need Race and class suggestions, well as idea to give him more personality

My immediate thoughts would be that the character be Human (I'm very partial to Humans. It's probably a failing on my part) and use either the Fighter or Paladin class. I'd also suggest going through the lists of archetypes for each to further flesh out the character. There are a LOT of them, but I think it will be worth your time to dive into them.

I might for go thr shield but am not sure .
Also am cosmidering if Fighter if I should grab A VMC Since if I'm a human fighter I'll have plenty of feats....

Well, I only found three deities with the Greataxe as their favored weapon that we not Evil... we have two LG, and one true Nuetral.
A Dwarven god, Angradd, is all about fire, tradition, and war.
Damerrich, an Empyreal Lord, is all about executions, judiciousness, and responsibility.
Then there's a Psychopomp Usher, Narakass, that is all about atonement, difficult choices, and pain.
Do any of these particular areas of concern fit your character?

Damerrich seems like a good fit. I want him to have a task to Carry out that is passed down from Mentor to Student

Celestial Obedience Damerrich will get you a +4 bonus to AC against crit confirmation, and these boons..
1: Dutiful (Sp) shield of faith 3/day, death knell 2/day, or keen edge 1/day
2: Severe Strike (Su) You ignore the first 5 points of creatures’ damage reduction when making melee weapon attacks, regardless of the type and composition of your weapon. For example, a creature with DR 10/silver would be treated as having DR 5/silver against your attacks.
3: Execute (Sp) You can cast power word kill once per day.
Half-Orcs are proficient with the Greataxe, and have a racial +2 to Intimidation.
What level is this character supposed to be?

.
He'll be Level 5 to startI kinda wanted a cold theme for an undertone for this character

Level 5, huh?
Does this character have or use magic? If so, is it arcane or divine?
What is more important, the armor or the axe? There are archetypes/classes that focus on each, so if you could enhance either you armor or your axe, which would it be?
How does this character interact in a team? Are they a helpful defender of nearby allies, or do they charge into the melee with reckless abandon? Are they a patient commander, a reliable flanking partner, a bodyguard?
| VoodistMonk |
Do any of these sound particularly interesting to you:
Steelblood Bloodrager... heavy armor Bloodrager could go with a cold-themed Bloodline.
Faceless Enforcer Vigilante... your very menacing appearance has a reputation of its own, and people don't even associate you with that reputation when not in your armor.
Steelbound Fighter... you have a sentient Greataxe.

Yep That's about normal starting for my group. Only once did I get to play a level 20 character...Twas Fun lol
For Magic whatever would give me a winter / Storm Theme
More the armor but I'd like 5o at least use some sort of Axe
Are there single Edge Great Axes ?
I'd say he is more of Defender getting Between the threat and the more squishy Parry members
Faceless Enforcer Vigilante looks fun

Greataxe, wrote... "The head may have one blade or two, and may be “bearded” (meaning hooked or trailing at the bottom) to increase cleaving power and help pull down enemy shields. The haft is usually 3 to 4 feet long."
Honestly, I just chose the Greataxe because it is a massive axe. It was a starting point for me, more than anything. I didn't want to commit to the exotic Butchering Axe, and a wee-little battle axe didn't seem appropriate when you used the word "massive" to describe it. I knew Half-Orcs were proficient with the Greataxe, regardless of class proficiencies, so I knew we at least had options for its use not restricted to classes with martial weapon proficiency.
I will toy around with a cold/storm themed Faceless Enforcer... see what I can come up with.

Faceless Enforcer Vigilantes are not proficient with shields, so I dipped Standard Bearer Cavalier... get it out of the way early, and boost your Fort saves. Grabbed Order of Cockatrice for Braggart, which allows you to use Dazzling Display as a standard action. I figured your billowing cape would be your Banner, as Standard Bearer swaps the order you get Banner and Mount.
I believe your cape/Banner could be played into the whole image thing. And later, you could use your Faceless Infiltrator identity to continue to pose as an Order of the Cockatrice Cavalier, like you've been one the whole time. Lol.
At level 5, you are Cavalier 2/Vigilante 3... you have a BAB of +4, and +4/+3/+3 base saves. You have full martial weapon proficiency, so you in no way NEED to be any specific race... although Half-Orc is still at the top of my list (more on that later). We can use a shield, now, so a battle axe is probably the better weapon to use... it is one-handed, after all, and could be used in two hands without the shield, if necessary. But describe it as having a large blade/head/whatever, I guess.
Half-Orc is still a solid option for all the right reasons. Darkvision is great to have, as well. You get that swert +2 luck bonus to all your saves with the Fate's Favored trait. Your backup ranged weapon is a 2D6 Orc HornBow, which is nice. Lol.
I don't know much about Vigilantes, to tell the truth. Never been my thing, so forgive me if this isn't a good fit. I'm not really feeling it, but I'm trying. I don't know which Vigilante Specialization you want, and cannot really suggest one over the other. I don't know how badly it hurts not having a Vigilante Talent available in the build, yet, due to the archetype trading away the one at 3rd level. I don't know how useful Social Talents will be to your character, or which ones to suggest. I'm still looking for ways to add a cold theme via Talents...

From that sketch, I would have a Tiefling with the Oversized Hands and make him a Hellknight given the jet black full plate. They tend to be pretty intimidating.
Wielding a wooden shield while wearing metal full plate doesn’t match to me tho, like wearing socks and sandals.
Ya I guess a wooden shield with this 8s kinda silly
But I picture a round Shield with a Skull on it mouth shut but can openDode oversized hand allow me to wield bigger weapons?
