Hi, so, first post here, nice to meet you all, don't know if this is the right place to ask, but hey, hopefully it is! I'm exceptionally new to running Pathfinder, especially when it comes to the setting of Golarion, and I'm running into a small wall with initial plans. I'm starting work on putting together a small mini-campaign, and while I know some places I'd like for it to go, I haven't the foggiest on where to start it it! The only real set in stone things so far is that at some point or another, if players follow how I hope they follow the story, Absalom will be the second big destination, but from what I can gather, the other parts of aren't exactly the safest for a level 1 party. So, to ask the question in few words so as not to take up more of everyone's time that is reading this: any ideas on where things should start out?
Sandpoint WAS a good place, but I'm not sure exactly how it looks after Return of the Runelords.

Sandpoint was PF1's dedicated starting town. It had a lot of development but that is mostly based in PF1 setting which is 10 years before PF2 setting. The big city nearby is Magnimar.
Otari is PF2's dedicated starting town. It had pretty heavy development since PF2 began up till recently (Abomination Vaults AP). It is pretty close to Absalom by design (big city nearby).
Absalom is the current focus for setting development.
Note that, for anything based in Otari, you can ignore the events of recent (PF2) adventures and APs as much as you want, while still using NPCs and locations.

Ok! Otari definitely sounds like what I’m in need of so I’ll get to looking at it. Thanks for the help folks!
