Hello!
New pbp DM here and I am trying to get the hang of things before I launch my first campaign.
I was curious if there is a way to have an interactive map where players can move their own token similar to Roll20, but not using Roll20. Kind of like a shared Google Doc that everyone can work on/edit? I have the idea in my mind, but I don't know how to bring it to life.
My initial idea was to just do all the work myself but then I realized it would add extra steps and combat would be longer because of token placement corrections.
Thanks in advance!

The most common solution for maps used by the PbP games on this forum is using Google Slides, with permissions open to everyone with the link. There may be a way to set the settings so that everything is locked by the owner with the exception of the elements that are the player tokens, but I've never seen anyone bother with that if there are.
Yes, in a PbP, any work that a GM can shift to the players helps the game overall.
