Why are the DC so ridiculous in this Scenario? There is a DC 26 Computers/Engineering check in the 3-4 that has a secondary condition behind and then there is a DC 25 Check for 3-4 where there is a Treasure hidden behind. This BS is why I ended my Starfinder Society Subscription.
Hopefully this is a typo, but I don't think it is. PFS2 has a similar trend of gating secondary success conditions behind (far) harder DCs from what I'm reading. Whatever the reason it's clearly going to rub things the wrong way.
The scenario mentions in the starship encounter the enemy ship escaping. I haven't been able to find how that could occur. Is there a rule for enemy ships being able to flee from combat? I haven't been able to find one. Thank you!
I think it's just covering bases there in case of unusual PC decisions. The PCs losing the starship combat is the only baked-in way for the enemy ship to escape.
