Which version of snowball is the definitive one for pfs?

Good evening.

A PC is using the snowball version from People of the North. (No spell resistance)

Newer version from 2017 removes staggered condition and does add spell resistance.

Both are said in additional resources as valid.
Archives Of Nethys lists only the second one's descriptio for the effect of the spell.

Are both acceptable, or do i follow the description from AoN, like most often nowadays?

The newer, weaker version is correct.
