It seems like there are some inconsistencies in the lead up to chapter 4. Harlock tells the party a couple things that don't make sense.
1 There are Xulgaths in the tower with dinosaurs and demons.
Well there wouldn't have been any demons the last time Harlock was there, unless they've all left since then. The handful of demons present in ch 4 serve Balenni, who had not been to the Erran Tower until after fully corrupting the hermitage.
2 He overheard corrupted hermits speaking about Cavnakash.
I'm not sure how that name would make its way to the hermitage. Balenni didn't meet him until after the corruption. The demons could have mentioned him, but that seems strange since it was a secret mission and despite Harlock speculating that the demons in the hermitage are related to the demons at the tower, nothing indicates the demons summoned in the hermitage are part of Zevgavizeb's designs.
Point 1 is just false. Point 2 could stand, it's just not supported or foreshadowed anywhere else in the text. I realized these inconsistencies while trying to make a stronger connection between chapters (3 and 4 are pretty disjointed) so I figured I would address these as well.
I made a simple change with Balenni to draw a clearer connection between the scattered events, by making her a follower of Zevgavizeb. Her faith isn't mentioned to my knowledge, but I'm going to have her as a former follower of Nocticula. Displeased with the Redeemer Queen's redemption, she sought a more reliably evil demon lord, settling on Zevgavizeb, drawn by his exemplification of Indulgence (alternate domain a la the Life's Long Shadows gazetteer). Working in the service of the Glutton in the Dark, these events were related from the start.
Balenni came to the hermitage knowing that Zevgavizeb has recently turned his interests toward the Starstone Ilses and looking to create more followers. I also dispensed with the generic "demon worship" and made the corrupted hermits explicitly worshippers of Zevgavizeb. The priest, Yoril, even found the PCs in the crypts after they slayed the ghouls and asked them to help her reconsecrate the crypt to supplement Gozreh's blessings with those of Zevgavizeb.

Hi guys, sorry if this has been mentioned before but there is a bit of a post on another forum about how the Wasp Swarm encounter at the mill might be too tough for a low level party, especially if the players are new/not optimized. Some don’t agree, some do, but multiple deaths have been reported on it. If you feel that the encounter is a bit too much for your party, I have a solution: replace the swarm with 4 giant worked bees ( Archives if Nethys here.). The reasoning could be the same, you could just have a beehive surrounded by 4 giant bees instead of the wasp swarm, and the XP should be the same. (Party level-2=20 xp, party level +2=80 xp) and the encounter should be much more manageable for a lower level party with few resources.
Just a helpful idea if you think 2-4 DC 21 saves or round are a bit much for a level 2 party. If you think your party can handle it: feel free to disregard this post.

I was weirded out to read in twitter thread Jason Tondro comment that Balenni was originally supposed to be male but they switched her to female because incubi didn't have stats even though "wait didn't pathfinder already confirm that succubi CAN be male long ago?" and now I'm confused of whether that is the case or not

Seems pretty clear from the Bestiary description:
The concept of gender is fluid to a succubus, as they can adopt countless humanoid forms of any gender to aid in their goals. Most succubi have a feminine true form (incubi, which usually have a masculine true form, are a different kind of demon), but regardless of gender, a lust demon is supernaturally beautiful or handsome, but with curving horns, bat wings, sharp claws, and a sinuous tail.

Just finished running my first session of this game and I was very surprised with how difficult the starting fights are.. Granted I rolled really well with the drunken brawlers and the nonlethal stipulation added some difficulty. But after coming across the trap in Myron's wagon the party wants to rest and is low on hp. They definitely are not optimized for the edition. They don't have a cleric and don't have a focused healer but I still feel it's pretty rough to do all of this in one night..
When the pods use their reaction to burst are they disabled or do they continue using the routine until a PC disables it?
