Hello everyone.
I'm building a new character designed for PbP play, an half-orc monk who grew up in the monastery of the Sisters of the Golden Erinyes in Isger. I thought it would be fitting if he would have been taught the Diabolic Style, but since it is a style based on attacks of opportunity I was wondering whether such idea would work in that kind of campaign.
Assuming the GM would use only theater of the mind to handle combat in this possible game, would you advise to use a character based on attacks of opportunity in a PbP game?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

If it's theater of the mind, probably not. I'd be worried it'd be frustrating for you if you didn't get a lot of AoO. That said, if you're willing to risk that. there's nothing wrong with the idea.
I would simply plan to roll that AoO for the GM whenever you think it could be relevant. That's what I do with my swashbuckler for example (rolling the parry/riposte).

Agree with TriShadow - I've seen plenty of AoO based builds in PbP games that just roll any and all potential AoOs in a spoiler each round to be used as appropriate depending on enemy actions. Especially since all you have to worry about with Diabolic Style is the attack rolls (since it always deals the same damage), it shouldn't be too much to handle.
