Struggling with starting the campaign.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

So we played through the first level of the campaign that comes with the game. We won, and did the process for improving our characters from there. At the end of it, none of our characters had any new things, or new things they could do. In essence, the second level of the campaign, our characters were exactly the same.

Did we do something wrong? Is this normal for the game? We all kinda lost interest in playing any more after that, the game seemed rather.... pointless? We really want to like the game, are we missing something?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Assuming you're talking about completing all of the B and 1 scenarios and adventures, then you've done something wrong. In normal game play, you should be acquiring some boons during each scenario, and at least some of those boons may be handy enough to keep in place of the boons that you started the scenario with. In addition, each scenario and adventure has rewards for successful completion, including boons and card/skill/power feats. At the very least, if you completed the B and 1 adventures, you should have some feats under your belt to improve each character.

Which adventure path are you playing? And which scenarios have you successfully completed?

it does seems odd for your play group to go through the base set scenario and not acquire a single boon(items,spells,etc.). so perhaps like brother tyler said, maybe you misinterpreted the rules.

just remember at the end of every scenario you and the other players rebuild your deck with the cards you acquired.
