Do I have to write feats or class options chosen by players on the chronicle sheet when they leveling up?

Hello,
I am a new PFS player and also GM and have some players at my table that are soon going to level up to 3rd level.

So do I have to write feats or class options chosen by players on the chronicle sheet when they level up as they are not able to rebuild anything (without using retraining rules, gold and PP)?

I am asking because I just GMed outside of my home group and I did not see any feat or class options on the players' chronicle sheets.

But how should I as a GM audit a character when I only see XP / PP progression on the chronicle sheets? Players could have completely rebuilt their characters from a Wizard to a Fighter and the chronicle sheet does not give anything for me to be able to audit that.

Or do I have to upload the character sheet of my players somewhere on the Paizo website so that it is obvious what their character looked like when they played the first time on 2nd level?

Hi Djadugar,

Short answer: no, you do not need to write changes down on level-up. PFS isn't designed for that level of auditability.

Long answer: Characters aren't 100% auditable, for better and for worse. Large portions of PFS are based on the honor system. Although there are some actions where getting GM signoff is important, leveling up typically happens away from the table and you as GM don't need to monitor it.

If you become concerned that a player is cheating by rebuilding characters between scenarios, talk to the player about it and if you're still suspicious, let the organizer know.

What Alex says it the long and short of it. Its mostly an honor system.
Altough there is nothing wrong with asking to check someone's chronicle sheet and/or chronicles.
