The problem I had was the art for Ismene doesn't match the box-text personality for her. The art has her happy-excited to meet people, maybe give them a hug. Reminds me of a nicer version of Mike from Monsters Inc. The box text is all ranty and evil and it just doesn't match.
Really? I thought it was psycho-happy-to-sacrifice-you.

Yeah. I was super disappointed. I saw the art and really wanted her to be an ally of the society. Instead she was just a one-off villain.
I ended up doing a bit of both personalities. "Hey guys, you're not supposed to be here, but it's ok. I'm sure you'll make GREAT sacrifices, ok?" (Accent doesn't work well in type...)

I don't really understand the 'timer' mechanic. It's said that if the PC's spend longer than two days, they lose. I can't find how much time these conversations take, though. It seems like they could spend a few hours talking to everyone, and move on.
EDIT: More notes as I notice things or have questions.
The Sellswords do not have exotic weapon prof with bastard swords, but are using them one handed without penalty. Would it be within GM adjudication to have them ditch the shields and wield their swords two-handed?

I’ve run this twice, and both times I had the conversations basically span the first day, then gave the PCs the option of heading to the ruins at night or waiting until morning. Both groups chose to wait until morning, but still had plenty of time. It seems highly unlikely that they’ll run up against the two day time limit unless they’re really delaying things.

I ran this this last weekend. Lv 9 cleric healing spec'd, Lv 8 Swashbuckler, Lv 7 Alchemist/barbarian and a lv 7 Pregen bard. APL 7.75 high teir.
The information gathering was fun. The party had a good time speaking with tarn and the priests of Adabar. The group paid for the priest to look information pertaining to the baron and were none to happy they wouldn't get a discount. They were told it would take thru the rest of the day and when they returned I had fun with the party having the priest ask if the brought their receipt? the group had a good time with that.
The combats were all challenging.
The bandits caught the group off guard, they weren't expecting 3 lv 8 fighters.
The Optional encounter was dropped do to time.
The encounter with the Lampad drag on with the swashbuckler getting confused and having some con/wis damage.
The final encounter was difficult with Ismene tearing into the group. I had her start with a fireball followed up with her breath weapon then to join melee. Her melee was devastating. She dropped the cleric and if it weren't for the retail program he would have been dead outright. even then he had to be saved from drowning.
I did pull a punch with regards to how the encounter ended up by having Ismene attack the swashbuckler instead of the Alchemist/barbarian because the Alchemist/barbarian had shield other on him from the cleric and that would have killed the cleric for sure.
It was a fun scenario with the combat encounters having some teeth!

Ran it on Friday for a group and as I'm doing chronicle sheets, I realized something. There's a wand of nap stack with 6 charges in area B6. Chronicle sheet has a wand of restful sleep with 6 charges instead, in both subtiers. Oops.
