The thought I was having for mine was an Envoy who had contact with an alien race mining the gasses of Bretheda and was intrigued enough to leave his people to find out more about the wider galaxy, despite the social repercussions it would cause for him. So Envoy with the Xenoseeker was my initial concept for a Haan character.
Course, what made me ultimately decide to make a sarcesian instead was that I couldn't comprehend how they could use tools when they don't have digits, but that's a personal hang-up, haha.

I'd like to know a bit more about what you need help with, OP; are you looking for mechanical advice, backstory / flavor advice, or both?
A little of both. Being a truely alien race is making for a challenge figuring out what to do. I know I want to do a haan. Trying to resist the urge to name them "Haan Solo" even if that would be fun.

My idea at the moment is Envoy with Ace Pilot theme. Then focus on Intimidate skill to mess with NPCs.
Picking Envoy gives 8 skill points so that helps to offset the -2 to Int.

I'm waiting around for a Haan boon myself, if the OP wants he can use my idea for a "Haan from the Old Neighborhood", So my idea is that a bunch of renegade Haan put down roots and started a very small community on Absalom Station. They're more advanced than regular Haan but still a little bit luddite in their approach to technology ("Momma still insists on gas jet cooking her bird meat because that's just how they made it on Bretheda.") Your character comes from this community who have all collectively rebelled against their traditions...only to settle down into a community that's not all that different from the community they just rebelled from. Nobody leaves and nobody has any sense of adventure. To hell with it, you say, I'm getting out of this ruddy place! Kiss my exoskeleton goodbye because I am out of here!
